Beginning in late October and working through March of the school year, cadets on the campus of Howe Miltiary School participate in yet another season of fierce Wildcat competition. On the heals of the fall season, cadets try out for basketball, wrestling, swimming, cheerleading, and the rifle team. Practices are held each afternoon from 4:00 to 5:30 where cadets receive instruction from coaches and strategize for the upcoming games and contests. The winter season is the longest of the school year. Therefore, each cadet makes a commitment to his or her teammates to strive for improvement and excellence during the myriad of games, tournaments, matches, and meets. As the season progresses, the Howe Wildcats find success in using their skills and sportsmanship to bring home many victories for the maroon and gray. On many early mornings one _ can hear to ringing of the victory bell throughout the classrooms and barracks of Howe Military School announcing the success of another Wildcat team on the field of competition. Go Wildcats!
