Justin spent most of his childhood summers on his aunt and uncle’s chicken farm in East Texas, where they raised 150,000 to 300,000 chickens a year. Justin started learning to train dogs in order to help with the daily removal of injured chickens from the six 100 yard long chicken coops. This began Justin’s life long passion of animals at a very early age. During high school Justin’s father purchased a 465 acre ranch for them begin raising beef cattle, once again, Justin began training dogs to cut, sort, and herd the cattle. After graduating high school Justin joined the United States Marine Corps. During his first year in the Marines, Justin served as a door gunner for a weapons company providing security for the transportation of 6,600 Kurdish evacuees from Northern Iraq to Guam for political asylum during Joint Task Force Operation Pacific Haven.
