JUDGE

ROBERT JOHNSON

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: “Judge Robert Johnson has done a very good job for the people of Harris County, Texas.”

“Judge Robert Johnson is Humbly Asking for your vote on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.”

For some reason, sometimes African American males running as Democrats face a tougher challenge than any other ethnic minority running countywide in Harris County, Texas — especially over the last two election cycles. That being said, we must make it our business to return exceptional judges like the Honorable Robert Johnson to the bench in 2020. Judge Johnson is running for re-election in the Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Democratic Primary race for the 177th Criminal District Court. After Judge Johnson wins the Democratic nomination he will then have to face off against a Republican challenger in the Tuesday, November 3, 2020, Presidential Election.

PUBLISHER’S NOTE...

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: “Democrats in Harris County, Texas must make it their business to nominate as diverse a ballot as possible on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Party Primary. Judge Robert Johnson of the 177th Criminal District Court, and Judge Julia Maldonado of the 507th Family District Court would be a great place to start in my opinion.”

JULIA MALDONADO

JOHNSON JUDGE ROBERT

Pol. Adv. Paid for by Robert Johnson for Judge Campaign, Tonya Tompkins, Treasurer, in compliance with the voluntary limits of the Judicial Campaign Fairness Act.

I am the judge of the 177th Criminal District Court in Harris County. I was born in New York City, but I have lived in Houston for the past 40 years. After graduating from Sharpstown High School, I attended the University of Houston and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business and Commerce in 1990. I worked in the private sector from 1990 through 1998. I received my law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2001. While in law school, I had the opportunity to do an internship with the Fort Bend District Attorney’s Office. After finishing law school, I opened up my own practice. Prior to becoming a judge, I did criminal defense work for 13 years. I will make my ruling based upon the law and remain fair/impartial at all times. Thank you for your support! Sincerely,

Judge Robert Johnson 177th Criminal District Court, Harris County, Texas
