ANCIENT EARTH WISDOM + COSMIC GUIDANCE

If you have ever been in space with me or listened to one of my interviews, you may have heard me refer to my work around collective liberation in the same sentence that I'm talking about ancestral healing and creative entrepreneurship. Why? From my perspective, lived experience and education (form + experiential) these things ARE inherently connected. So as we begin to shift our attention from internal work to external work in the second half of this book, this chapter felt like an especially important marker and bridge for how we put it all into practice. And for those who read the earlier chapter on "Divine Feminine + Divine Masculine" you will probably recognize this as the chapter that moves us from inhale to exhale...or from reflection to action. To make sure we are all on the same page, let's start with some definitions. When I refer to Ancient Earth wisdom, I am speaking about the practices, traditions and lifestyles that were designed to live in harmony with Gaia. This tuning in manifested as farming by moon cycles, village gatherings around the turns of seasons and education about how to innerstand the language of Nature (which has mistakenly labeled some cultures as "savage"), etc.

This list is short and there are many other ways and examples of how Ancient Earth wisdom has been passed down through generations over time. There was a reverence for the Divine Mother, or Mother Earth and as children born of her, there was a certain respect and sacredness in the way indigenous cultures across the globe chose to live and function to keep that centered. When I refer to cosmic guidance, this is where Father Sky comes into the picture. As named earlier in my invocation, there have been different interpretations around the Earth (feminine vs. masculine) and so too is true about the Sky. In ancient Kemetic culture, the Netjer expressed as Nut (noot) was a Feminine energy whose body held the stars, galaxy and cosmos into balance as the Sun and Moon passed through her daily + infinitely. In my own Earthen and cosmic practices, the resonance I have received is the sky as a Divine Father whose penetrative forces (i.e. sunlight, weather, planets) come into union with Mother Earth and make creation, seasons and various other natural events possible. Have you ever noticed your natural inclination to look upwards toward the sky when you're thinking about something or asked a question? Why might that be? Of course, not everyone's answer will be the same, but I like to believe the guidance, protection and "voice" of authority is something in our collective consciousness. So when I speak of cosmic guidance, it's that guiding light, firm hand to hold and definitive action that helps to shape our path. Together, ancient Earth wisdom + cosmic guidance are the chief example of divine alignment and sacred purpose that House of SOLEIL and I, am all about.
