Welcome home, sojourner. Just in case you haven't read the previous chapter on "Interview with Your Inner Child" , I want to make the suggestion that you go back and read that, as well as take your inner child out on a play date before you dive into this chapter here. You will want that context before we go into this chapter here now, mostly for yourself so, consider the two a pair! Now, review the questions and your answers from your playdate with your inner child if you haven't already (not counting the day you captured the answers) and use that in the next page to fill in responses with the wisdom you have just gained. Remember the old adage "And a child shall lead them"? I deeply believe that is in reference to our inner child helping us find the way back to our truest selves so, congratulations on taking initial steps. For those who already have a relationship with the child inside, may this work forge a deeper bond with that bright-eyed, bushytailed version of you. It is also important at this point in to remember your support map and call in more hands from your village as you nurture this child albeit a therapist, coach, friends, Spirit or motivational content online. You are not alone.

Now that you are equipped with some important info, some tools, some extra hands, let's talk to the adult you:

WISDOM FROM YOUR INNER CHILD:

What dots have started connecting for you? What things did you love doing that you have lost touch with? What caused you to put them away? What things seem to make you sad that brought up more sadness in you now? Does this need support? Where did you have a big grin on your face? What would you do regardless of getting paid? Where would you take you inner child out to play? How can you keep nurturing this relationship?

Ho’oponopono: an Ancient Hawai'ian Prayer

To My Inner Child,

I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.

When it comes to letting go of karmic attachments, and energetic cords, Ho’oponopono works, as it clears and integrates the energy. It is a powerful forgiveness and letting go of the most challenging of life experiences. It is a balancing + co-ordinating vibration promoting both reconciliation and forgiveness. Ho’oponopono means ‘to make right’ – it brings balance to the self and all relationships, even with one ’ s ancestors.

“If we can accept that we are the sum total of all past thoughts, emotions, words, deeds and actions and that our present lives and choices are colored or shaded by this memory bank of the past, then we begin to see how a process of correcting or setting aright can change our lives, our families and our society. ”
