Fit for a queen London’s The Goring hotel – where Kate Middleton famously stayed before her marriage to Prince William in 2011 – recently reopened after the final phase of a topto-toe refurbishment for its 105th birthday. The Duchess of Cambridge was on hand to officially cut the ribbon, with every room and suite of the venerable hotel, located just moments from Buckingham Palace, sporting a new look, thanks to designers David Linley, Nina Campbell, Tim Gosling and Russell Sage. Last on the list was the Front Hall (pictured), redesigned by Sage and now clad in hand-painted wallpaper by Fromental, which took four artists almost eight weeks to create. “It’s luxurious and glamorous, it recognises our past, but it’s also sophisticated and very contemporary,” says owner Jeremy Goring. thegoring.com
