#1. MUNICH Munich is the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg. Munich is home to many national and international authorities, major universities, major museums and theaters. Its numerous architectural attractions, international sports events, exhibitions, conferences and Oktoberfest. Although Oktoberfest and biergartens are a big part of Munich life, they aren’t the only things going for Munich. You’ll also find several interesting museums, the Residenz Royal Palace, the Bavarian State Opera and even BMW World among its varied attractions. #3. PHUKET Phuket is an island paradise in southern Thailand only a short Challenge from Asian capital cities: Bangkok (1 hour), Singapore (1.5 hours) and Hong Kong (3.5 hours). Phuket is renowned for its miles of sandy white beaches, the azure waters of the Andaman Sea and warm Thai hospitality. The activity in Phuket City is nearly around the clock. The nicest sandy beaches are all on the west coast, the most popular ones being of course Patong, Karon,Kata, Kamala and Bangtao, but some are still peaceful in the northern part: Naithon, Maikhao and Haad Sai Gaew. The East coast is covered by mangrove in the north and rocky in the south at the exception of few hidden beaches such as Laem Ka. The east coast offers beautiful view on the nearby islands. Thalang Road in the city center has applied to be a UNESCO heritage site with the many Sino Portuguese mansions and shophouses, including some jewels such as the ‘Baan Chinpracha House Museum’, ‘China Inn’, the Thai Hua Museum and the recently renovated ‘Blue Elephant Restaurant’. The second biggest town is Patong Beach.

ATHENS Athens dominates the Attica region and is one of the world’s oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning around 3,400 years, and the earliest human presence around the 11th–7th millennium BC. Athens has considered the cradle of western civilisation and the birthplace of democracy. It’s the source of western philosophy and literature, the Olympic Games, political science, major mathematical principles and theatre. Athens is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Acropolis of Athens and the medieval Daphni Monastery. Acropolis is maybe the most famous landmark of Athens. Acropolis is the sacred hill where Greeks built many temples, the most important is the Parthenon. Approximately 17.5 million people visit Athens each year. While you are in Athens you must visit: Acropolis, The Agora-Athens Central Market, National Archaeological Museum, Benaki Museum, Museum of Cycladic Art, Mount Lycabettus, The Temple Of Poseidon at Sounion, Monastiraki Flea Market, Pireaus and Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
#5. WARSAW Warsaw, nurturing over 400 years of pride as a capital, is Poland’s largest city and an economic, political, and cultural centre. Warsaw is a city full of astonishing contrasts and it never ceases to amaze with its magnitude of dimensions and themes, which are there to be discovered, absorbed and understood by the inquisitive. Warsaw is among the greenest metropolises on the continent, with Europe’s wildest river flowing through the center of the city. During World War II Warsaw was reduced to rubble, nonetheless the city was brought back to life and continues to flourish Paradoxically, Warsaw’s Old Town is only 50 years old. After World War II it was proudly and laboriously reconstructed to its present form. In 1980 it was placed on the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. The historic Praga district, which for decades was in the shadows of cultural life, is going through are revitalization process and is becoming the ‘promised land’ for artists and an oasis for creative endeavours. An actual rooftop garden has been cultivated atop one of the largest university libraries in the capital. While within the historic walls of Łazienki Palace on the Lake, you can listen to hip-hop and the ever-present Fryderyk Chopin, where the famous composer himself used to play.

#3. SWEDEN Sweden is one of the homelands of the Germanic ethnicity and culture. The Goths, the Suevirs and the Norses (Vikings) all trace their origin back to Sweden (as well as Norway and Denmark for the latter). A significant portion of Sweden lies within a zone (called the ‘auroral oval’), where solar particles collide with gases in the earth’s atmosphere to create colourful ribbons of light known as the northern lights, oraurora borealis. Sweden have an affinity with nature, probably because most have access to a countryside cottage and spend as much time there as they can foraging for mushrooms and berries, taking a dip in a lake, relaxing with family and friends and enjoying an unspoiled environment. Sweden does its culture, heritage and arts proud throughout the country with cultural events, heaps of important historical sites, museums, art galleries and concert and theatre venues. Stockholm,Gothenburg and Malmö are the big hitters in terms of concentration of culture, heritage and arts events and sites in Sweden, but there are other fantastic places in the country to see Sweden’s past, present and maybe even future.

Such varied and unique attractions bring tourists from all over the world to Brazil. The world’s best beach is Baia do Sancho, in Brazil. It is found in the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, just over an hour by air from Natal. Here, 21 islands form a marine park that draws divers from far and wide to see green and hawksbill turtles, whales, lemon and reef sharks, clownfish, anemones and parrotfish.
