shortly before Christmas.

The Michelmores team raised over £5,000 for Hospiscare when they took part in the first Hospiscare Men's Walk which started and finished at Sandy Park, the home of the Exeter Chiefs.

“The support from Hospiscare for him and for his family was consistently fabulous and enabled him to be at home and well cared for until the end.

The team, which comprised Tom Stenner-Evans, Andrew Lovell, Richard Cobb, Phillip and David Maddick, James Bartlett, Robert Coram, Ben Howels and Adrian Miller became the first to be presented with the Men's Walk Cup for raising the most for the charity. “Ned was only a few years older than me and had only just started his well-earned retirement when he was diagnosed,” said Adrian.

“It was our pleasure, as well as great fun, to raise money to help Hospiscare continue its brilliant work.” Hospiscare fundraiser Jen Waldron, who was also one of the organisers, said she was delighted with the corporate turnout. “The money is still coming in but I would like to thank Michelmores for their contribution and success.”
