Chinese Immersion Camp for Students Entering Grade 4
Entering Grade 4 Lixia Shi Interested in practicing Chinese over the summer? Come and join us at the XinXing fourth-grade summer camp and get a head start. We will sing songs, play dramas, do sculpture and paintings, practice calligraphy, play Lego and math games, work on interesting science experiments — plus get to know the fourth-grade XinXing teachers. Your child will have the opportunity to listen to, read, write, and speak Chinese while having fun. Youth Horse Camp
Grades 1-12 Andrea Keacher Come ride and learn about horses! Lessons include learning how to work with the horse, and balance and control in the saddle. Campers will learn how to groom, tack-up, lead, and do in-hand work with horses. We’ll make horse crafts and do other horserelated activities such as horseshoe painting, mane and tail braiding, bathing horses, play horse tag, and helping feed, water, and care for the horses. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe with a heel), long pants, and layers depending on weather. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, nut-free snacks, water bottle; and nut-free bag lunch. ASTM/ SEI certified helmets provided. Signed waivers are required. This camp is run in partnership with Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services. This camp is held at Boulder Pointe Stables. Kung Fu-Wu Shu: Summer
Ages 5 to Adult National Treasure Kung Fu, Inc. Learn the lifelong benefits of Kung Fu, the Chinese art of self-defense and fitness, from a Hong Kong champion. Kung Fu teaches awareness of self and surroundings, and improves self-esteem and confidence. Parents — sign up and participate with your child in class. This is a skill-building progressive training program for beginners through Black Belt. Optional uniform and certification from White to Black Belt are available. Al Lam (International MasterTemple trained in Mainland China) is a former Hong Kong Champion with over 30 years of teaching experience.
