Thanksgiving has been a national holiday in the US since 1863. It is officially scheduled for the fourth Thursday of November, which falls on November 23 for 2017. To many Americans, the holiday represents the founding of the nation. The holiday is intended to thank the local Native American population for assisting the Pilgrim settlers in learning how to make their land more productive. If approved, spouses and unmarried children under 21 of the investor are also eligible for green cards; and the family will receive a conditional 2-year green card that may later become a full-fledged permanent residency. This program is an excellent option for Filipinos because it offers no wait times for Filipino nationals. Once the petition is approved, the process may immediately start for obtaining the 2-year conditional green card. This will take approximately 6 months. 90 days before the conditional green card expires, the investor and the family can file for a full-fledged green card for permanent residency.
