COMMUNITY SPACE Television sets were a luxury in the 1960s, and not many families could afford to have one. One of the grocery stores back then had a TV installed, but they charged people who stopped by to watch. This infuriated Bull's father, and he bought a set by instalment and installed it on Heep Wo Lane for everyone's free enjoyment. It attracted a lot of people to watch, and became a gathering place for kaifongs, and created what is now known as “public/ community space". Bull's father's unyielding spirit is certainly reflected in Bull, as he has actively participated in democratic movements since 1989. Many of the impressive props and banners that he used were created in that space.
