Not that we want to obsess too much over the new – especially at Christmas, when it’s precisely the act of settling in to the same rituals that seems to put us at our ease. In the end, being a good host often has nothing to do with your cooking skills or how tidy your house is, and everything to do with being relaxed and creating a welcoming atmosphere, no matter what your space.
