Create your dream space

Inspired by the practicality of Japanese partitions and the timeless elegance of industrial glazing.

A modular system of fixed panels, sliding doors, and hinged doors allows you to design your Patishon to fit your space.

Sliding Doors

Sliding doors and 180-degree hinged doors allow you to ‘zone’ or create seperate spaces without losing the natural light flow or feeling of space.

Open up or close of your space as you wish!

From the start, we put emphasis on creating partitions that are as practical as they are beautiful.

Excellent sound insulation keeps the sounds of the TV, Kitchen or private conversations in the space.

Excellent thermal insulation to eliminate draughts and heat loss in open plan spaces.

We can have 30 drummers playing in the classroom while having normal conversations next door.

We get loads of comments about them and they have great heat insulation.

Case Study 1

A drum school tested the sound insulation of our Patishon’s.

In 2019 we extended into the side return of our terraced house to give much needed extra space for our busy family of five (and a dog!) Like many terraced properties, ours featured two reception rooms with no separate divider. Despite the additional space gained from the extension, we found that the layout still really didn’t work for us as the middle lounge essentially became a thoroughfare to the kitchen, a 'dead space' that didn't serve any particular function.

The Problem:

An Unusable Middle Lounge

The Solution:

Partition Doors from Patishon

• Lack of Usability:

The middle lounge was rarely used because it felt more like a passageway than a family area.

• Noise Disruption:

With no divider, noise from one lounge carried into the other, and even from the kitchen all the way through the ground floor.

• Safety Concern:

With young children, traditional glass doors weren't a safe option for creating a separation.

• Natural sunlight:

We didn't want to brick up and permanently separate the two lounges, as this would make the middle room very dark.

We looked into several options for bespoke dividers and glass doors but couldn’t find a suitable product due to either cost or safety concerns. Then a friend sent me a link to the Patishon website and the product ticked all our boxes. We opted for the sliding partition doors and they’ve transformed how we live by:

• Creating Two Distinct Rooms:

The partition doors effectively separated the two lounges, creating two distinct, usable rooms. This has allowed us to define each space's purpose clearly.

• Enhanced Privacy and Reduced Noise:

The partition doors have significantly reduced noise transfer between the two rooms. Now, the kids can watch TV in different lounges without disturbing each other, and the adults can have a quiet conversation without competing with the TV or noisy playdates!

• Improved Light Flow:

One of our concerns was losing light, but the design of the partition doors ensures that natural light still flows through the space.

• Flexibility and Space Optimisation:

The ability to slide open the doors provides flexibility. When we want to use the space as one large area, we can slide the doors expand our living space.

• Safety for Kids:

Unlike glass doors, the partition doors are much safer for our youngest child

Since installing the partition doors, the house feels larger, more connected, and every room is now uwsed to its full potential.

Case Study 2

In 2023, we undertook major renovations, including tearing down several walls, upgrading our kitchen, and replacing the roof. Our house felt too dark and in need of a significant update, so we aimed to modernize it while respecting its original character. Since moving in 2021, I envisioned adding Crittall style doors to separate the kitchen from the lounge and dining area. This would allow light to flow freely and create a contemporary open living space.

The challenges we sought to overcome:

• Lack of Natural Light:

The house felt too dark and needed more natural light.

• Outdated Layout:

The layout lacked a modern and open living space.

• Improving Functionality and Aesthetics of Key Areas:

The kitchen and lounge/dining areas needed better separation to enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal.

While designing the kitchen, I was hesitant about knocking down the wall without a suitable replacement. I didn't want old-fashioned wood doors, as they would still block natural light. As an interior design enthusiast, I was always searching for alternatives. At the Ideal Home Show, unexpectedly discovered Patishon doors and dividers. I spoke with Patishon, received their catalog and contact details, and from that day, our renovation plans took off. The kitchen/lounge diner walls were knocked down, ready for the installation of the Patishon

Patishon really met what we were looking for and improved our dream space by:

• Enhancing Natural Light:

The doors allowed light to flow seamlessly through the space, transforming dark areas into bright, inviting rooms.

• Modernizing the Aesthetic:

The sleek design of Patishon doors added a contemporary touch, perfectly blending with the house’s original character while updating its look.

• Creating Functional Spaces:

By effectively separating the kitchen from the lounge and dining areas, the doors improved the functionality of each space without compromising the open feel or losing any valuable space.

• Increasing Home Value:

The stylish and high-quality doors added a significant value to our home, making it more attractive for future resale.

• Customizing to Our Needs:

Patishon offered customizable options that perfectly matched our specific requirements and design preferences, ensuring a tailored fit for our home. Quality Craftsmanship: The superior build quality of Patishon doors ensured they were not only beautiful but also robust and long-lasting. Patishon doors provide superior thermal insulation compared to traditional glass doors.

• Sound Insulation:

The new doors provided improved sound insulation, reducing noise between the kitchen and living areas and creating a more peaceful environment.

Since discovering Patishon doors was a game-changer for our renovation project. They addressed all our concerns, from improving natural light and modernizing the look, to increasing functionality and enhancing overall comfort. Our home is now brighter, more stylish, and perfectly tailored to our needs, thanks to the exceptional quality and design of Patishon.
