Stocking Aid

A simple, inexpensive device to assist with putting on a stocking or sock especially if bending and reaching to the foot is difficult. It consists of a strong, shaped, ﬂexible plastic gutter with long cotton tapes attached to the top.

The stocking or sock is fed on to the plastic and held in place with the side notches. The foot is put in the open end of the stocking, which is then pulled over the foot and up the leg using the tapes.

Sock Aid – Terry Cloth

Sock application is made easy with this flexible, plastic sock aid. Slits in the plastic core allow it to bend around the heel. The inside is lined with nylon to reduce friction.

The outside is lined with terry cloth to hold the sock firmly until it is on the foot. Two pulling tabs with loop handles permit one-handed application. Hand wash only.

Tights Aid

This works on the same principle as the stocking aid but has a double gutter to enable it to be used for tights.

Button Hook and Zip Puller

A shaped stainless steel wire which assists one handed dressing by passing through the button hole and over the button to grip the thread.

This simple and efficient system allows someone to call you anywhere in your home. You will receive the signal up to 150 feet (45 meters) from the call buttons to the paging device. This all-purpose patient transfer slide has a smooth upper surface allowing for easy transfer and a smooth bridge, spanning the gaps that occur between beds, trolleys and tables.

This Evacuation sheet has been designed to remain underneath the mattress, ready for rapid evacuation of patients or residents. In an emergency, it wraps around the patient, cocooning them within the mattress, to form a protective sledge.

Our Day and Night Clock was designed to assist people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The clock has a basic analogue design with the addition of a graphics disc that rotates with the hour hand.

Clear bold images illustrating emotional, social, personal care and health needs. Our Dementia and Communication Board has been designed by Activities to Share to meet the needs and wishes of people with speech difficulties or forms of dementia like Alzheimer’s.

This simple, yet effective communication device provides immediate feedback from the service user, allowing for more focused care and helping to minimise misunderstandings and frustrations.

We have selected images that we feel that would be most useful and appropriate for older people who are receiving care, either in their own home or in a care home. Images illustrate emotional, social, personal care and health needs. The user can either point to the picture that best describes their need or use the letter chart to spell out their message.

The board is two sided - the front depicts images and words; the back has words, the alphabet and numbers 1-10. The board can be wiped down for infection control purposes.

Pain Assessment Chart

The Pain Assessment Chart is a multi-purpose communication aid designed specifically to help someone express the source, degree and effect of their pain and discomfort.

It’s fairly obvious an over-complicated design will cause confusion and frustration and only make things worse. So our product has been designed for simplicity of use and understanding, making it as easy as possible for someone with cognitive and visual impairments to get their message across. This is particularly important when someone’s powers of speech have deteriorated, or gone altogether.

Double sided to offer specific male/female information, the product is non-reflective with an integral handle and anti-bacterial qualities, as well as being suitable for use with most chemical cleaners.

As dementia progresses and co-ordination declines it can be a struggle to get a person with dementia to get enough food and fluids.

After discovering that as people’s dementia progresses they struggle to pick puzzle pieces up and place them in the correct place, which caused frustration. 2. CONDITIONS APPLIC ABLE:

2.1 The Conditions shall apply to all contrac ts for the sale of Goods by the Seller to the Customer to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions including any terms or conditions which the Customer may purpor t to apply under any purchase order or other wise

2.3 Acceptance of deliver y of the Goods by the Customer shall be deemed conclusive evidence of the Customer ’s acceptance of the Conditions

2 4 Any variation to the Conditions shall be inapplicable unless evidenced by writing signed on

authorised by the Seller in this regard, and fur ther, that no person may be taken by the Customer to have any such authority unless such person has presented to the Customer a written instrument, signed by a direc tor of the Seller, conferring upon such person such authority in connec tion with the Goods

3. PRICE AND PAYMENT:

3.1 The Price of the Goods shall be the price set out in the Invoice The Price is exclusive of VAT In addition to paying the Price, the Customer shall pay to the Seller all applicable VAT

3 2 The Customer shall pay direc t to the Seller the Price, any VAT and any costs of pack aging, insurance and deliver y speciﬁed in the I nvoice, on the date speciﬁed in the Invoice

3.3 Credit Terms Strictly 30 days from Date of Invoice

3.4 Interest on overdue payments under this Clause 3 shall accrue from the date when payment becomes due from day to day until the date of payment at that rate which is 2 percentage points above the rate of interest applicable to the principal euro overdraft rate of the Seller from time to time, and shall accrue as well after as before any judgment.

3 5 All prices for the supply of goods are liable to change without prior notice, to the price ruling of the date of dispatch not withstanding any quotations or conﬁrmations of order previously made

4. THE GOODS:

The quantity and description of the goods shall be as set out in the Invoice

The company shall be entitled to var y the design and/or speciﬁcation of any goods to be supplied without prior notice

5. WARRANTIES:

5.1 The Seller war rants that it will have the r ight to sell the Goods to the Customer at the time at which title to the Goods is to pass to the Customer, and fur ther warrants that the Goods will be fit for such purposes as may be specifically notified in writing by the Seller to the Customer

5.2 All other warranties, conditions or terms relating to the Goods (other than those provided for in Sec tion 12 of the Sale of Goods Ac t 1893), whether implied by statute or common law or other wise, are excluded

6. DELIVERY & RISK:

6.1 Unless other wise stated in the Invoice, the Goods shall be delivered to the Customer Ex Works (as deﬁned in Incoterms 2000) to the address speciﬁed in the Invoice on the Dispatch Date, and risk in the goods shall pass to the Customer in the manner provide for in that regard in I ncoterms 2000 The cost of collection and deliver y of the Goods to the Customer shall be borne by the Customer

6.2 Discrepancies must be notiﬁed within 7 days Our Company, the supplier, reser ves the right to impose a restock ing charge of 15% (minimum charge 15 EUR) on the value of the goods returned by a customer, through no fault of the supplier

7. TITLE:

7.1 Title to the Goods shall not pass from the Seller until the Customer has paid the Price plus VAT in full

7 2 Until title to the Goods passes to the Customer in accordance with Clause 7 1, the Customer shall hold the Goods and each of them on a ﬁduciar y basis as bailee for the Seller The Customer shall store the Goods (at no cost to the Seller) separately from all other goods in its possession and marked in such a way that they are clearly identiﬁed as the Seller ’ s proper ty

7 3 For so long as the Goods remain the proper ty of the Seller, the Customer shall not use the Goods in any manner and shall not purpor t to, sell, charge, pledge, encumber or other wise deal the Goods

7.4 The Seller shall be entitled to recover the Price (plus VAT ) notwithstanding that proper ty in any of the Goods has not passed from the Seller

7.5 Until such time as proper ty in the Goods passes from the Seller, the Customer shall, upon request, deliver up the Goods to the Seller If the Customer fails to do so the Seller and/or its agents may enter upon any premises owned, occupied or controlled by the Customer where the Goods are situated and repossess the Goods

7.6 The provisions of this Clause 7 shall not entitle the Customer either to refuse or delay payment or require the Seller to accept the return of Goods on the grounds that the proper ty in the Goods supplied is reser ved by the Seller as aforesaid

8. REMEDIES OF CUSTOMER & SELLER ’S LIABILIT Y:

8. 1 I n the event of a breach by the Seller of any war rant y in relation to the Goods, the Customer ’ s sole remedy shall be to reject the Goods to which such breach of warrant y relates Upon such a rejec tion of the Goods, the Seller shall refund to the Customer that par t of the Price which relates to such Goods to the extent that it has been paid by the Customer Following such rejection and refund, the Customer shall have no fur ther rights whatever in respec t of the breach of warranty

8.2 Without prejudice to Clause 8.1, and in each case to the fullest ex tent permitted by applicable laws, (a) the Seller shall not be liable to the Customer for any indirect or consequential loss, damage, cost or expense of any k ind which the Customer may su er or incur, which arises out of, or is connected with, a breach by the Seller of these Conditions or of any other obligation of the Seller, (including, without limitation, any loss of oppor tunity, loss of production, loss of or corruption to data, loss of proﬁts or of contracts, loss of operation time and loss of goodwill or anticipated savings), irrespective of whether the Customer ’ s claim for recover y in respect of that loss, damage, cost or expense is (or would but for this provision be) founded in contract, tor t (including negligence) or other wise, and irrespective of whether or not the Seller has been advised of the potential for the loss in question; and (b) in no event shall the liabilit y of the Seller to the Customer in respect of, or in relation to, or in connection with the Goods, whether arising in contract, tor t or other wise, exceed the amount (exclusive of VAT ) actually paid by the Customer to the Seller in respect of the relevant Goods

FORCE MA JEURE:

If either the Seller or the Customer is a ected by Force Majeure it shall for thwith notify the other par ty of the nature and extent thereof Neither the Seller nor the Customer shall be deemed to be in breach of any of the Conditions, or other wise be liable to the other by reason of any delay in per formance, or non per formance, of any of its obligations hereunder, to the ex tent that such delay or non per formance is due to any Force Majeure of which it has notiﬁed the other par ty hereto; and the time for per for mance of that obligation shall be ex tended accordingly

PARTIAL INVALIDIT Y:

I f any of the Conditions is or becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that shall not a ect the legality, validity or enforceability in any other jurisdiction of that or any other Condition.

11. LAW AND JURISDIC TION:

All contrac ts between the Seller and the Customer in respec t of, or in relation to, or in connec tion with, the Goods and any non- contrac tual obligations arising out of or in connec tion with any such contrac ts are

the Customer hereby agrees that the cour ts of Ireland shall have non- exclusive jurisdic tion to hear and determine any suit, action or proceedings, and to settle any disputes, which may arise out of or in connection with the Goods or their sale to and purchase by the Customer and, for such purposes, the Customer irrevocably submits to the jurisdic tion of the cour ts of Ireland
