FY 14 Funding Revenue Sources
Dear Friends of Drueding Center, Drueding Center continues to develop our comprehensive program to best meet the needs of both generations of our young families. Highlights include: •
In November 2013, Drueding Center assumed the New Neighbors Permanent Supportive Housing Program. Eighteen families, where at least one family member has a documented, legally recognized disability, receive rental assistance, housing counseling, and case management. We are utilizing this program as experiential learning to explore feasibility of an internal rental subsidy program.

As of March 2014, we no longer provide two parallel food programs, and now restrict our food donations to exclusively healthy selections families may choose within the Green Light Food Pantry. Our goal is to increase the pantry’s reach to 125 families served per month by July of 2015.

Our high-quality child care center’s educational tools have been modernized with the interactive Teaching Strategies Gold Parent Portal. Teachers and parents alike can post video demonstrating developmental milestones and share curriculum content. The Parent Portal is another way of gaining our vulnerable families’ trust, allowing them to feel more connected with their child’s education.

Our third and final year of the Sanctuary Model® implementation process was also a success, built upon the simple shift of rephrasing the question, “what’s wrong with [our families]?” to “what’s happened to them?” We plan to achieve Sanctuary Model® certification in FY15.
