Lisa Vicini Hutson traveled to Ensenada, Mexico with a group of 50 teenagers and 15 adults from her
current hometown of Nashville, TN. Collectively, the group continued construction on a home for a local preacher, visited church members and delivered packages, and started construction on a water attachment system for an orphanage there. Using her knowledge of the Spanish language she learned at Holy Child, Lisa was able to translate for the children, orphanage staff members, and local community members. Daina Slekys Trout is CEO and co-founder of a beverage company called Health-Ade. She started the company three years ago with her best friend and her husband, Justin, in Los Angeles, and it exists to make the best tasting and highest quality kombucha. Since starting in the farmers’ markets of Southern California, Daina’s business has expanded in over 18 states, and is now available at all Whole Food Markets. In August, Daina and Justin welcomed a baby boy into the world.

Katie Mackie (now Mackie-Haas) married Till Haas on May 23rd, 2015 in Weissenkirchen, Austria. She also completed her Ph.D. in Agricultural Soil Biology in 2014 at the University of Hohenheim. Katie and Till are currently living in Bern, Switzerland where Katie is working as a PostDoc at the Bern University for Applied Sciences. Nicola de Montielle recently moved back to the Washington D.C. area from Boston. She has joined the Washington Square adolescent counseling practice in Falls Church. She is happy to reconnect with many of her Holy Child friends still living in the area. Marybeth Feeney is a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV, and is working for SRA International, an IT Support and Software Development Company for the Government Accountability Office in Washington D.C. Marybeth married her husband Jamie Jones on January 3, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Old Town Alexandria, where she was baptized. They reside in Oakton, VA.
