INTRODUCING NEW ALUMNAE COUNCIL MEMBERS

CECE GARNER '15 is currently working on a Masters in Education in Counselor Education at the University of Virginia. As an aspiring school counselor, her passions include ensuring that the school environment is equitable and safe for all students. She graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

TERRA HADDAD '15, recently graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2019 with her Bachelors in Business Administration. She is currently working at Saks Fifth Avenue as a Style Advisor while attaining her Masters in Fashion Marketing. Terra also has her own photography business, photosbyterra.

NEW 2019-2020 ALUMNAE COUNCIL MEMBERS BIOS

DEVIKA MAHONEY-NAIR '08 is a data scientist, with years of experience across both the public and private sector. Currently, she works as a policy researcher within UVA’s Biocomplexity Institute. She earned her BA in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College and an MS in Data Analytics from American University. She has authored an open-source software package and enjoys her role as a community organizer and mentor in the data science community. She seeks to amplify voices and stories from minority communities and advance meaningful policy to effect equity and inclusion at Holy Child.

MIA SIMMS '08 is currently working as a Vehicle Operations Analyst and Auditor at Volkswagen Group of America. When not enjoying the great outdoors and curating her lifestyle blog, she cherishes spending time with friends, family and the warm furry friends she volunteers with at Montgomery County Humane Society, a local animal shelter.

ASHLEY WILLIAMS DUNN '08 is a veteran English educator and Diversity and Equity advocate. She is currently an English Content Specialist overseeing the secondary English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum for Montgomery County Public Schools. Ashley is an experienced classroom teacher and school leader. She has degrees from Dickinson College (B.A.), Notre Dame of Maryland University (M.A.), and McDaniel College (PBACC). Recently, she was a keynote speaker for the Dickinson College Education Department, and a professor intern in the Excellence in Equity graduate program through McDaniel College. She looks forward to engaging the Holy Child community in this important work.
