A worthy philanthropic destination | Foundation by Marvin Tile, Chair, Holy Blossom Temple Foundation

The occasion of our 150th Anniversary gave us pause to consider the path our congregation has taken. Our history shows that our predecessors were willing to change as the world around them did so. Every year, in moments both solemn and joyous, we are reminded of Holy Blossom’s role and impact on Reform Judaism. Our lives are enriched as we and our family members observe lifecycle customs. Efforts toward connecting with the broader community, through social action, lead us to greater involvement in our world. We are privileged to offer access to

educational programs of the highest quality. These renowned areas of excellence make Holy Blossom Temple a worthy destination for our philanthropic dollars. As a pre-eminent force in Jewish continuity, it is the synagogue that will enable us, and the generations to follow, to proceed into the future with a healthy, vibrant and unique, yet integrated community. Holy Blossom Temple embodies our values, making them tangible aspects of our lives and the lives of others, which is why it deserves our support. I look forward to future celebrations of the wide range of achievements yet to come; your generosity will ensure our success.

The theme for this dinner is Bereshit — in the beginning. Bring your family, friends and neighbours, and join us as we sing, learn and eat together! Cost: adults $12; children $7.50. For more details, please call the school office (ext. 256), at the Temple. Mark your calendars for our other two dinners: Jan. 18 and May 9, 2008.
