The Global Grand Jury honors the best films as nominated in collaboration with National Film Partners selecting National ‘Hollywood Silver Screen Prize Winners’. Of these, the best earns the title of ‘Best Global Film’.
The Hollywood Grand Jury honors films from open submissions and industry recommendations to select the Best Short Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Independent Film & Best Studio Film’ All of these compete for ‘Best Hollywood Film.

From Tuesday through Friday take part in four days and nights of exceptional events at the iconic Raleigh Studios in Hollywood as the industry spotlight shines on the Best of Documentary, Independent, Global and Studio Filmmaking. Enjoy Red Carpet Receptions and Industry Networking Parties, Filmmaker Socials and Studio Tours, Film Financing Forums and Technology Talks with each evening showcasing the ‘Best of the Best’ for this year’s Jury Prize winning films. On Saturday, Oct 5th, meet and mingle with today’s most exceptional emerging filmmakers and other industry honorees as they take centerstage to celebrate the “Best of Hollywood” during the 2019 Hollywood Honors Ceremony at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Building a More Inspiring, Inclusive and International Future Legacy for Hollywood
Hollywood never stops working… and neither does Hollywood’s film festival. We work year-round engaging industry leaders and global audiences in on-going conversations about the future of Hollywood. We invite our Jury Prize winning filmmakers to participate in a year-long Exceptional Artist Program to help them grow their global audiences, build successful Hollywood relationships, and advance their artistic and professional careers. We are proud to publish our National Hollywood Silver Screen Prize winners and promote our National Partners in September then in October publish our annual ‘Best of Hollywood’ industry announcement, both as multi-page promotions in Variety magazine. We are also privileged to lead Hollywood delegations to other premier international film festivals to help better connect exceptional emerging artists to new opportunities and actively promote the tremendous resources and opportunities our Hollywood community offers to the world. Each year we present our Hollywood Honors Ceremony in the heart of Hollywood at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It’s here where Marilyn Monroe lived, where Shirley Temple learned her famous stair-step routine, where Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, Prince, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been honored guests, and where the first Academy Awards were presented. What better place to honor the ‘Best of the Best’? At the Hollywood Film Festival 2019 Hollywood Honors Ceremony our prize winning filmmakers and industry honorees will be featured at centerstage. We begin the evening with a Red Carpet Reception and end with a VIP After Party.

When the curtain closes in October, we open it on a global stage… First, we honor the ‘Best of Hollywood’ in a multi-page insert in Variety magazine recognizing leaders of the global entertainment industry. Then we hit the road to help generate greater global exposure for our films, filmmakers, brand partners and stakeholders from the American Film Market (AFM) in LA to the major international film market events at Berlin, Cannes, and beyond. Throughout the year, we build momentum up to next year’s annual Global Grand Jury Announcement in Variety during the opening of the Toronto International Film Festival in September, inviting the world back to Hollywood once again to celebrate the very Best of the Best.
