New Endowment Funds The Akhtar Family Endowment Fund Established in 2011 by Jamiel and Adriana Akhtar, the Fund supports general purposes and honors their daughters Isabella, Class of 2020, and Valentina, Class of 2021. Endowment for Middle Income Financial Aid in Memory of Richard Dubsky Established in 2011 by an anonymous donor, this endowment provides support for Middle Income Financial Aid. This Fund was given in memory of Richard Dubsky, longtime Hockaday teacher and department chair who inspired a love of mathematics among generations of Hockaday students. The Alcina Francis Jatoi, M.D. Endowed Financial Aid Fund Established in 2011 in memory of Alcina Francis Jatoi, M.D. by her daughter, a graduate of Hockaday’s Class of 1979, the Fund provides financial aid support for Hockaday Upper School students. Dr. Jatoi believed strongly in the education of young women and felt it was important that opportunities be provided for young women to receive the best education available to them.
The Ashley H. Priddy Endowed Lower School Fund Established in 1985 as a memorial to Life Trustee Ashley Priddy by the Eugene McDermott Foundation, Sabine Corporation, and an anonymous donor, the Fund provides support for the operation and maintenance of the Ashley H. Priddy Lower School. The Wilmeth Family Endowment Fund Established in 1994 by Mr. and Mrs. Steven L. Wilmeth, the Fund supports academic excellence at Hockaday, with particular emphasis on the science and mathematics curriculum, faculty, and program. This endowment honors Cathy Wilmeth Taylor ’92, Jennifer Wilmeth Keller ’96, and Melissa Wilmeth Iraniparast ’98.

The Sally Taylor Young Fund for Curriculum Development in the Humanities Established in 1996 by Life Trustee Barney T. Young, this Fund honors his wife Sally and supports the humanities curriculum and faculty at Hockaday by encouraging the creation of new and innovative electives in literature, history, geography, government, the classics, and the arts for the Upper School program of studies. Sally Young graduated from Hockaday in 1953. Barney Young has twice served as a Hockaday Trustee and chaired the Board from 1994 to 1996. They have two alumnae daughters, Sarah Young Miller ’79 and Serena Young ’82, and two granddaughters, Katherine Young ’04, Emma Young ’10.
The McManemin Family Fund of Communities Foundation of Texas Financial Aid Endowment Established in 2011, the Fund supports the financial aid program. The Kate Mosle ’12 Faculty Support Endowment Fund Established in 2012 by Jennifer and Jon L. Mosle III, the Fund supports faculty excellence and honors their daughter, Katherine Mosle ’12. The Rogers Family Middle Income Financial Aid Fund Established in 2011 by the Ralph B. Rogers Foundation, this Fund provides financial aid support for middle income families.
