In 2003 she served as a panelist on the inaugural HAARTS Program – The Art of Literature. From 2003 to 2005 she was a member of the Board of Visitors. In 2008–2009 she served as the 1950s Decade Chair. She was Vice President-Elect of Communications from 2009–2010, and oversaw the NetPals Program. This year as Vice President of Communications, she chaired the HAARTS Program – The Art of Diplomacy. She helped to select the speakers and truly had a passion for ensuring that the evening’s event would be enjoyed by alumnae, panelists and the Hockaday community. Unfortunately, HAARTS had to be cancelled because of an unprecedented week in which four days of classes were cancelled due to inclement weather. Her dedication and genuine enthusiasm goes without saying. Holly is the consummate Hockaday champion. She participates in her class activities and gatherings, often hosting her fellow 1956 classmates for anniversaries and birthday parties. She revisits campus often, attending student programs, award ceremonies and receptions. Ellen Higginbotham Rogers Award for Excellence The three finalists for the Ellen Higginbotham Rogers Award for Excellence were also announced during Alumnae Day. The finalists were Stephanie Hazlewood Dees ’94, Lower School Early Childhood teacher; Steve Kramer, History Department Chair; and Jenni Stout, Middle School and Upper School Math teacher. Stephanie Hazlewood Dees ’94 was presented the Rogers Award at an assembly at the end of the school year. Activities on Saturday, April 30, included an inaugural Former Boarder Reunion Breakfast in Tarry House and an Alumnae Family Picnic on the Lower School Playground and Picnic Area catered by Goff ’s Hamburgers.
