GREASE Slick back your hair and pack your poodle skirts. Summer Lovin’ is in the air on Harmony of the Seas, with an all new larger than life take on the Broadway’s hit musical, Grease coming to the high seas for the first time. Including all of the famous songs from the 70s hit movie, you’ll follow the romantic twists and turns of Sandy and Danny, two summer loves who navigate the tricky social waters of Rydell High School while keeping their reputations — and relationship — together. 8:00 pm, Royal Theater, Decks 4, 5. THE FINE LINE AQUA SHOW A journey from extreme to extraordinary, The Fine Line is the AquaTheater redefined with high-flying feats, mind blowing stunts and physically demanding acrobatics brought to life by the world’s best extreme-sport athletes. No matter how you say it, the genre of vocally created music has come a long way in the past 10 years. And while it’s begun to pique the interests of the masses, and while much could be said about the journey of this genre up until now, the more important question for us is, “Where is it heading?” In our humble
opinions, the word “A cappella” has become sort of taboo. An immediate reference is drawn to specific sub-cultures within the genre, such as doowop, barbershop, or collegiate chorus. While all of these forms are great, MO5AIC represents a much different face of the A cappella experience – and one that is not easily definable. I suppose that’s why we stopped using the word “A cappella” to describe our sound. It’s true – we don’t use instruments.
