RULES CORNER QUESTION While playing in a tournament, Jill hits the ball to the left and her foursome can not find the ball. What are her options for a lost ball or OB in this situation in 2020?
November is great fall weather and the perfect time to get out and play some golf on a fabulous golf course with some of the best bent grass greens in the area. Golf Member and Athletic and Tennis members please take care of the golf course when you play. Pay attention to the Cart Path rules and please repair all ball marks and sand some divots.
Fall fashion is in the shop for those crisp mornings and cooler evenings. Men’s and Women’s outer wear is in from Nike , Foot joy and HMS Collection. Be sure to stop in and see what the golf shop has to offer. Can’t miss out on our new BridgeMill Hoodies from Ouray. Our ever favorite 8 Inch Cup is in November, please sign up through Bridgemillmga.com or email them at bridgemillmga@gmail.com. As well as the Freedom Fighters golf outing on November 6th. This is truly one of the best outings of the year. It supports a great cause and the helicopter drops are amazing. Come out and bring the kids to watch and see all that they do on this day.
Thank you to all who played and supported the Couples Golf this year. We had on average about 36 couples once a month who played in our events. They were so much fun and a great way to get involved and meet more people at the club. Stay tuned for an April start the 2021 Couples Golf Events. Please note that even the driving range has a no denim policy. Golf attire is required to play and practice at the facility.

We started off the month on October 3rd with a Par 3 tournament organized by Kelly Cook. ALL 18 holes were par 3’s which is harder than it sounds! We had a great day of golf followed by lunch and drinks. First Place Gross Kelly Cook and Robin Roper First place net Vanessa Mullen and Irene McMillian
Second place gross Stacy Propes and Jessica Butcher
Second place net Erin Poindexter and Sally Peterson
Hole 5 closest to the pin winner was Therese Powers and hole 14 winner was Molly Maher.
Great golf weather, fun golf event and good food all add up to a fun day for all! Tuesday October 6th we had our first Tipsy Tuesday event hosted by Denise Killeen. We started with cocktails and awesome appetizers from Featherstone’s and then broke into groups to practice on the driving range and putting green. After a second round of snacks/drinks we headed to the back 9 to play as many holes as possible before dark. Look for more to come on the Tipsy Tee times!
In November, we will move our Tuesday group to Sunday November 1st, 15th and 29th. November 15th will be the Ryder Cup Tournament with team captains, smack talk and an amazing raffle. Make sure to sign up for this great event. Everyone is welcome to join our group! GEORGIA GOLF PERFORMANCE TIPS FROM THE PROS
PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE - PLAY A ROUND ON THE RANGE
During any round of golf, you’re going to face a variety of challenges that require different clubs, so it’s a good idea to practice as though you were playing a round occasionally. Start with a driver as your tee shot, then move onto an iron for the approach, and finally a wedge. Change the number iron with each cycle and remember to include your fairway woods too. When playing a round on the range, make sure you play every shot as you’d play it during a round. That means including your pre-shot routine. GEORGIA GOLF PRACTICE MAKES PERMANENT PERFORMANCE ADULT INSTRUCTION Make sure you’re working on the right things in practice. Improving how you practice can make your time on-course more fun. Our GGP instructors are here to help players of all skill levels to improve their games and lower their scores. We create an individualized improvement plan to accomplish your golfing goals and personalize your practice routine to accelerate your golfing goal. We offer private instruction as well as group classes.
