Welcome to Summer! Everyone should be wanting to come out and spend some time working on their games and playing some golf.
With the beautiful weather, tee times go quickly. Golf Members, make sure to book your tee times early as 2 weeks in advance so that you can get out and enjoy this beautiful weather and fabulous golf course.
The course is really maturing and in great shape. Summer is a truly good time to be on course either early in the morning or late in the afternoons! There are many ways to reserve your spot - either call the Golf Shop at 770-345-5500 ext. 1 or go online to bridgemillathleticclub.com.
Members - if you have any range balls or range bags at your house, we would really appreciate you bringing them back. Both are running short and we need to keep our supplies at a maximum.
Just to let all of you know, gloves and balls may be hard to get this Summer. So if you are in need and we have what you are looking for, I would buy it when you see it. Titleist Prov1 & Prov1x are in the shop, and Callaways may be hard to come by this year.
As far as clubs and demo clubs, the new Titleist Drivers, new Taylor Made Sim2 Drivers and the new Ping 425 drivers are in! What better time to upgrade your set, than now with the best technology that these companies have to offer.
We have plenty of Demo days set up with each company, so if you are in the market for a new set and want a time to be fit, contact Georgia Golf Performance who now has a Trackman 4 and can really key you in to a great fit for your golf game.
The next club fitting day is TaylorMade Demo day on July 3rd. Also be on the lookout for a morning shotgun and the Spirits of 76 event. 2021 GEORGIA GOLF PERFORMANCE JUNIOR TOUR
The Georgia Golf Performance Junior Tour is one of 3 key measuring tools we use in determining placement of GGP juniors within the Performance Pathway. Every month from March to October we host an event alternately at BridgeMill Athletic Club and Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. Juniors compete at special yardages that are based on their developmental age and skill set. All ages are welcome to participate in the tournaments. LGA NEWS by Molly Maher
June is the month of warmer days, cool evenings and lots of activities! We love the longer days, especially on Wednesday’s so the ladies golf group at BridgeMill can have fun with our Nine and Wine. Every Wednesday, we kick off about 5pm for 9 holes of friendly golf followed by drinks and dinner for anyone that can stay for a visit. We like to meet on the outdoor space upstairs from the Pro Shop. Every few weeks, we have a game night which just adds to fun with prizes and a little competition. Watch Golf Buddies for the most current upcoming events.
June 6th will be our FIRST Working Women’s 9 hole playdate for any ladies that cannot make our Wednesday events. We have tee times for 3, 3:10, 3:20 and 3:30 for this first Sunday event! Several ladies mentioned they would like a weekend play time due to work or family obligations during the week. This will be a great time to work on establishing a handicap also! Call the pro shop at 770-345-5500 option 1 to sign up for June 6th. These tee times are open to all ladies so sign up with a friend or two! Featherstone’s will not be open after play, but bring a drink to enjoy… we will meet at the tables outside the pro shop for a visit and to discuss if we want to do this on a regular basis.
June 9th will be our “3 by 3 Game Night”… different holes will have different rules. Some holes will be a scramble, some holes will be an individual best net and some will be alternating shots with your partner!
June 23rd will be our “Tin Cup Challenge”… make sure your favorite club is in your bag for this one. OH! You might be a little dizzy with our proximity contest… just so you know!

A little recap of our April events:
Saturday, April 17th was the first tournament of the season… fondly called the Spring Fling tournament. We headed out with 9:30 tee times to dance the Cha, Cha, Cha. A fun format using best net score on 1, 2nd best score on 2 etc. Our teams were made up with ABCD players to keep all skill levels even. The fun ramped up on par 3’s when frisbees and softball bats came into play!! We followed our 18 hole event with a soup and salad lunch at Featherstone’s, a cocktail or two and great prizes.
First place winners were Robin Roper, Amy Davidson, Sally Peterson and Diane Voss. Second place winners were Missie Kisker, Joyce Gonzenbach, Carla Cummings and Amy Boehm. Third place winners were Miyako Fletcher, Molly Maher, Kelly Cook and Susan Moffa. Closest to the pin on 8 was Kelly Cook and closest to the pin on 12 was Molly Maher
Wednesday April 28th was a fun game night organized by Kelly Cook and it was attended by 18 ladies! The format was our popular string tournament where each participant was given 5’ of string to extend any shot to better their score. Scoring ties were broken by the amount of string left over.
First place winners were Stacy Propes, Amy Boehm and Liz Gallogly. Second place winners were Kelly Cook, Carla Cummings and Sally Peterson. Third place winners were Missie Kisker, Amy Davidson and Diana Downey. Closest to the pin on #5 was Liz Gallogly and on hole #8 was Karen DiBella. We also honored Susan Moffa for her first birdie EVER and it was at BridgeMill!! Congrats, Susan!!

2021 BRIDGEMILL MGA MASTERS RESULTS PLAYED APRIL 17TH - 18TH
The 2021 MGA Masters is in the books and it was a fantastic weekend of golf and fellowship with 65 MGA players grinding it out for their best score per hole over two days. Some new faces were on the leaderboard along with some of the usual names on top. Congratulations to our Overall Gross and Net Champions – Kyle Gray and Hank Hannon! In the Overall Gross Championship, Kyle Gray’s 61 bested Ed Zamorski’s 65 and Darryl Fulton’s 67 for a sizable victory. However, it was a tight race for the Overall Net Championship as Hank Hannon’s Net 63 narrowly eclipsed a handful of his closest overall competitors who all shot an impressive Net 64. HATS OFF to all the MGA Masters winners below!
