Boston used to be a huge fishing and sailing community and when sailors got lost they were told to follow the north star home, which is where the inspiration came from. Project Highlight : Wayfinding on the hallway floor so when people looking down on their phones don’t have to look up to find their way. It is also a fun thing for kids, a small game parents could play with them. There still is wayfinding on the ways though.

Project Overview: Commercial Studio requirement was to design a 30,000sf grocery store in any location we wanted. Locality was based in a small town in Vermont. Creative Process: AutoCad & SketchUp & Photoshop
Locality Grocery Store
Locality is based off of the idea of family style eating. St. Johnsbury, Vermont is a small farming town with about as many residents a college. They strive off of being a tourist area with a small town vibe. Taking that idea we made a local food store that is stocked by the residents.

Finished Product
Tasked to design a chair based off a poem and only found materials. My partner and I chose Edgar Allen Poe poem “The Raven. The bottom reassemblies a bird cage and the backing is made of tree branches. The branches are covered with newspaper to symbolize his love for writing. The last two paragraphs are engraved into the seat.

Project Overview: Thesis is a year long process. 3 Pillars Transitional Housing is affordable housing units for women and children transitioning out of rehab, prison and homelessness. Creative Process: Revit
3 Pillars Transitional Housing
The three pillars are the Zakim Bridge, Bunker Hill Monument and Bunker Hill Community College and focusing on the surroundings, the users of the space will be able to experience new beginnings. By looking back into history and learning from the community, users will be figuratively cross a bridge into a new start of life.
Affordable housing has always been an issue and has grown throughout the years. This housing complex will help introduce a variety of life skills to the residents by giving them more opportunity to grow and expand in life. Having this complex as a multi-use building, it will reduce the stigma felt by the community. The topic of affordable housing will always be a personal experience for me, as my family and I have been homeless and in the same situation many face day to day. Erasing the stigma of people who are homeless, ex-inmates, or addicts will always be a goal for me.

City Square Market : Due to the lack of affordable markets in the area, City Square Market was created. This is one of the public spaces, that are not just for residents. This market is to give an affordable option for the community, it has a hot food and coffee bar in the back so you are able to sit upstairs on the mezzanine.
Cycle Studio : Due to the lack of gyms in the area the One Pillars Gym was created. The gym is essential because a lot of the residents tend to gravitate towards something to do along with the community because there was already a cycle studio and yoga studio in the existing building.
Office Level : City ket Mar are Squ ting Sea Area
