INSIDE/OUTSIDE TREASURE HUNT

Life is better with CBD

Dear Donna, My mother has a large thimble collection, over 1,000. She recently passed away and we’re looking for options on how to sell them. Any advice would be helpful. Robert Dear Robert, Wow, she had quite the collection, and nicely displayed as well. I don’t have much good news for you, though. The time for thimble collections seems to have passed by. They are a tough sell these days. I think if this were me I would try putting them out at a flea market and either sell them one or two at a time or as a lot price for all. Finding the buyer will have everything to do with your pricing of them. You would think that each one would be worth at least $1, but I am not sure that is a reality. Some thimbles are worth more than others but I think some for resale have little to no value. You might be able to identify some for a collectible value by the names on them. Or do some internet researching to see what thimbles are going for out there. All of this might end up with the same result as my thoughts on them. Bottom line, I think I would sell them all at once. As far as value I think you have to think of finding someone who will enjoy them as the best value.
