Identify your research area

Identifying the research area is the preliminary step for applying the doctoral programme. Our website should be able to help you with this.

Write your research proposal

This is is a crucial step on your road in becoming a research student. Your proposal formally outlines your research aims and is one of the main tools our panel would use to judge your application. So sell your idea and yourself.

Apply for the Doctoral programme

You need to collect the application form either from our campus or Head Office at Guindy. Filled forms along with required materials must be submitted at Head Office.

Test and Interview

You will be receiving an official communication through mail and will be called for a test and interview.

Pay your fees

Once you receive the Admission communication from HITS, you would have to pay your Fees.

Start your Research

Success! You have made it through all the steps and are now ready to start your research at the HITS.

Application Closing Date

You may submit an application at any time. But applications will be considered twice each year. Deadlines to submit are 15 June and 15 December.

Required Materials

Applicants should ensure that the following supporting materials are included with their application:

1. Passport Size Photo (2 nos.) 2. UG & PG Degree Certificate (Xerox) 3. UG & PG Mark Sheet (Consolidate) 4. One-page write up (500 Words) of the desired Area of Research, Proposed Topic of

No Objection Certificate from the employer (If applying Part – Time) Demand Draft / Online payment for Rs.1000 drawn in favour of HITS, Padur.
