I’m completely inspired by Dr. KCG Verghese’s vision and the way he has made it a reality. It’s heartening to see Hindustan train students in par with recent developments in science and technology. Man is the mosthandicapped species: since man cannot fly as a bird or run like a Cheetah, he designed technology to make up every possible thing he lacked and make life easy and beautiful. With novel inventions enabling humans consume less time, I insist everyone to dedicate time to accomplish worthy things like involving in painting, dancing, writing etc. as they are the real signs of higher activities of life. I hope the students’ community would affirm with me and actively involve themselves in pursuit of higher activities of life paying no compromise to education. At an institution like Hindustan, where opportunities are open at large, students are sure to graduate with flying colours.

Hindustan has a fine balance of academics, sports and extracurricular activities. It is such a great platform for students to utilize the facilities and trainings offered at a very early stage of learning. I’m happy to note that the college houses 14 Centres of Excellence exclusively for Research purpose with latest equipment. I’m appalled by the amount of Conferences and Seminars conducted by Hindustan in the academic year 2018-19; it is a sign as how the institution takes measures to keep itself updated in the stead fasting world. Learning experiences sought by reaching beyond the boundary of one’s core subject certainly enables in acquiring enhanced learning experiences. My wishes to all the awards winners under various categories at the University Day Celebrations and many wishes to Hindustan!

Prof. (Dr.) Anil Sahasrabudhe,

I was delighted to be in Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science for the 9th Convocation and inauguration of Flight Simulator facility which gives hands on experience to students. Education must enlighten individuals making them not only lead life with confidence and dignity; but also instil humanness trait as well as moral codes. It’s important for any institution to hold strong industry and academia linkages so as to enable students get first hand training and learn the practical aspect of study. I’m happy to note that Hindustan has good research facilities and lays path in sensitizing students towards social issues and natural calamities as essential parameters of education. I would request students to stay connected with your alma mater and continue contributing towards its development. At this juncture, I congratulate HITS for establishing Alumni Chapters pan India and abroad as well. Best wishes to this clean and green campus!

Indeed, a great honour and recognition to receive the Hon. Degree of Doctor of Science from this prestigious institution. My gratitude to Hindustan for conferring me the degree. All great achievements are not individual centric; but efforts of a team. With a team of enthusiastic students guided by eminent faculty, greater achievements can for sure be accomplished. Success is certain and attainable irrespective of one’s impediments, through persistent efforts and earnest dedication. If excelling as a technocrat with knowledge is appreciative, owning a true character would demand appreciation from all— never forget, the ‘Crown and glory of life is Character.’ I beseech the student community to uphold ethical values, principles, and culture in par with any other achievement. Sincere wishes to Hindustan to soar great heights and 18 Hcellence 2019 serve community!

I’m thrilled to be here at Hindustan on a very apt day wherein we celebrate National Science Day commemorating the invention of Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman, the renowned Indian physicist and Nobel laureate. Befitting to the theme of Science Day 'Science for People and People for Science', we are fortunate to have the award ceremony of Hindustan Innovation Challenge 2018-19. While appreciating the participating teams, I emphasize the importance of perseverance and focus in the path of innovation. Great innovators of the world lived in the same world of a common man; what made them great was the power of observation! I wish the young students to pursue challenging careers and also uphold moral responsibilities aiding our nation fly high.

I fondly remember attending one of the public lectures of the Late Dr. K.C.G. Verghese, Founder, Hindustan Group of Institutions. He showed great mark of character as an effective and smart decision maker. In a technology driven world as now, I’m very much conscious of the uncertain implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Technology on the job prospects for the upcoming generation of engineering world. In fact, I would like to see many students carryout research in such challenging areas and explore the possibilities of making technology human friendly. Hindustan with its Research Centres could encourage students on these line that would help develop India and the world. All the best for many more success to add more feathers to the laurel cap of Hindustan.

No institution becomes great automatically. It is made great by great men who have a vision. God acts through human beings. This institution is extremely a great one. Its Founder and Chairman, Late Dr. KCG. Verghese had a noble vision of shaping young minds with quality education and his successors are fulfilling his dreams with the same dedication and enthusiasm that he had. May God bless everyone attached to this institution and let them upbring graduates who would shoulder country's growth. I wholeheartedly wish Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science a great success in shaping the young minds!

Glad to address a session on “Make Success the Way of Life!” Our social world is essentially made up of two kinds of people: the good and bad. As much as good people are viewed for their positive role and contribution to the society, the bad ones are seen as the liability or hindrances for social development. To be a successful person in one’s respective field, it is mandatory to develop five key criteria—physical strength, mental strength, emotional strength, financial strength and spiritual strength. All these five criteria are the fulcrum for transforming oneself into a successful person. The term “Success” though a cliché, has its own power and thrill. Success is not an absence of problem, but one’s ability to overcome it. I wish my young students at Hindustan the very best for their successful and dazzling future!

Happy to inaugurate the Workshop on “Sustainable Solutions to Flood Management” towards “Climate Resilient Kerala.” To be present in Hindustan and deliberate on the theme that would help all of us detect crisis in advance has been the need of the hour. Case studies of successful flood management and suggested measures for real-time forecasting were productive. As an educational institute, Hindustan has the potential to go to much higher level. I wish all the best and success in future.
