Conquering the tower race

On Friday 31st May, London Hilton on Park Lane hosted the Mayfair Park and Tower race to help vulnerable young people, equipping and supporting them locally into education or full-time employment. The race received a good response from the community with 88 runners registering and 65 runners participating on the day. Runners in London met early on Friday morning first raced a 4.5km track around Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park before running up 475 stairs at London Hilton on Park Lane culminating in a champagne reception at Michelinstarred Galvin at Windows restaurant on the 28th floor of the hotel. Amongst the runners was Chef Patron of The Pompadour by Galvin, Jeff Galvin, Hayden Groves, Executive chef at BaxterStorey and Galvin’s Chance founder and Galvin at Windows General Manager, Fred Sirieix. This year’s male winner was Andrew Alley, completing the race in just 19 minutes and three seconds. Tori Maden took the top honours for female participants, finishing in 25 minutes and 28 seconds. After everyone had completed the race, Fred Siriex addressed the crowd and thanked them for their amazing efforts:

“I’d like to echo my thanks to everybody who ran today and congratulations to our two deserving winners. The Tower climb symbolizes quite a lot about Galvin’s Chance. It is
