As we step into our 2025 Heart For The Mission season, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to every person who calls Hillsong home. Your willingness to lean in, and your faithfulness and generosity, are what make our church such a caring, authentic, and Jesus-centered community.
This month is a significant time for our church family, as we each have the opportunity to bring a special, once-a-year offering - above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings to help move our mission forward and step boldly into the future God has for us. This year, we’re excited to align our generosity with our Mission Pillars, giving you the opportunity to choose which areas you feel called to invest in through your Heart For The Mission offering.
Heart For The Mission is a moment for all of us to take another step in faith, together. When we unite in generosity and bring our faith-filled offering, God multiplies what we give in ways we could never achieve on our own. This is not just about what we give, it’s about who we are becoming as we trust Him and take this step of faith together.
Across Australia, we are blessed with 28 unique and diverse locations, each making a meaningful difference in their communities. As we spend time unpacking our Heart For The Mission, we pray that God would stir your heart for the part you can play in the unfolding vision and mission of Hillsong Australia. Your generosity enables us to keep pursuing the work God has placed before us and to step into all He has called us to.
There are still so many people who need to experience the hope and love found in Jesus. As we continue to take steps of faith and live out our three Mission Pillars, we trust that God will use us to reach the world He loves so much.
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Let’s believe together for all that God will do in and through us in this season.

Our Heart For 2025
At Mission Sunday this year we framed our year with the language‘take another step - in faith.’ This is a season where God is calling us to move forward with greater faith, courage, and reliance on Him. And as we approach our Heart For The Mission offering, we want to invite you to take another step of faith - in giving.
This year, we’re connecting our Heart For The Mission offering to our Mission Pillars, to help you see the specific areas where your generosity can make a difference. You’ll have the opportunity to choose which Mission Pillars you’d like your Heart For The Mission offering to support.
Mission Pillars 1 & 2 - ‘Purpose-filled Jesus Followers’ and ‘Healthy Church Communities’ giving will support initiatives that advance Hillsong Church Australia’s mission. This includes our ‘5 in 5’ church planting goal, working towards securing permanent locations for our seven ‘bump-in’ campuses, continuing to obtain permits and starting the fit-out of both our Melbourne Greater West and Greater Western Sydney locations. As well as our ongoing support into our Local Campus initiatives. These goals will facilitate building a discipleship culture to help people know their Godgiven purpose as they follow Jesus, whether it be through our age group ministries, discipleship initiatives, pastoral care, or weekend services.
Mission Pillar 3- ‘Significant and Sustainable Social Impact’ enables us to support CityCare and our incredible global partners: Vision Rescue, Hillsong Africa Foundation, and ONE80TC. Through these partnerships, we’re able to extend hope and practical help to those who need it most.
We truly believe that as we each take another step of faith - both in our individual lives and as a church - we will see God move in extraordinary ways. What God has for our Church will require our collective faith, generosity and faithfulness to see it come to life. Mission Pillars 1 & 2
Purpose-filled Jesus Followers
This Mission Pillar is all about helping individuals not only know Jesus but understand and walk confidently in their God-given purpose. Whether they are new to faith, or have been on the journey for decades, people across our church are being encouraged to take another step in faith. The goal isn’t just information but transformation. The impact is a growing community of Jesus-followers who are anchored in spiritual disciplines, living out their faith with clarity, conviction, and courage in every sphere of life.
Healthy Church Communities
This Mission Pillar focuses on building local expressions of church that are strong, authentic, and life-giving. Healthy church isn’t just about the Sunday service - it’s about the relationships, support systems, spiritual vibrancy, and sense of belonging that form throughout the week. From large city hubs to small emerging locations, the vision is to foster connected communities where people are known, cared for, and empowered to live out their faith.

At Mission Sunday, we were excited to announce our new ‘5 in 5’ faith goal. We are believing, with faith and expectation, that over the next five years we will be able to launch five new Hillsong locations across Australia. Our heart is that every community would have access to a life-giving church.
This is not just a goal - it’s a calling we are embracing with prayerful consideration and careful planning. We are seeking God’s wisdom as we identify the right areas to plant these new churches, knowing that we are called to take new ground and advance the kingdom of God.
We are committed to church planting because we are committed to reaching our communities with the message of Jesus - for the people there now and for the future generations. Our vision is to establish vibrant, faithfilled churches that transform lives, strengthen communities, and reveal the love of Jesus. This is not about buildings, but about creating spaces where people can meet Jesus, be discipled, and be cared for in Christcentered communities.
Let’s move forward in faith together, trusting God to lead us as we step into all the places He is calling us.
Local Campus Initiatives
“Having celebrated our 70th anniversary as a campus in 2025, we are excited for the impact these upgrades will have on the future generations of our church.”

Through our Local Campus Initiative, we have been able to work on some much needed maintenance and improvements to our church building. We have started, and are continuing to upgrade some of the facilities at our campus to not only be more welcoming and functional, but to also allow us to be able to offer more midweek programs for our youth, young adults and volunteers. We also will have a functional outdoor space that will allow us to reach our community in ways we couldn’t before.

We have been immensely blessed to renovate our foyer at Waterloo this year! Being able to transform the foyer has allowed us to make room, and to value what matters: community, friendship, and hospitality. At our recent Welcome to Church parties in the foyer we were able to host dozens of new people and others who wanted to find a place to belong. We are grateful for the difference our new foyer has already made and for what it will mean for our future mission to build healthy church communities.

At Hillsong Melbourne West, we’re in the process of upgrading our Kids facilities for the first time in over 13 years! This includes refreshing the existing space and launching a new dedicated Treasure Chest room – designed specifically for children with additional needs. This will allow us to better serve families of children with additional needs, equip our volunteers, and create a space where every child feels seen, valued, and safe.

Significant and Sustainable Social Impact
At the heart of this pillar is the conviction that, compelled by God’s love, the church exists not just for those inside the building, but for the good of the world around us. Social impact means addressing real needs - locally, nationally, and globally - through intentional partnerships and practical acts of love for now, and the generations to come.
Hillsong Africa Foundation
Hillsong Africa Foundation works across South Africa in schools, prisons, community centres and shelters, running personal development courses which aim to foster self-worth and purpose, empowering young people to make decisions that will positively impact their future. Their Prison Impact Programs helps to ensure successful reintegration into society. Their Accelerate and iHub programs work to address the high youth unemployment in South Africa.
Vision Rescue
Vision Rescue exists to rescue children from all forms of exploitation by engaging and sustaining them in education. They run a range of interventions across disadvantaged communities in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. Vision Rescue is also having long lasting impact on families through vocational training and health initiatives.
CityCare
CityCare is an expression of Hillsong Church, engaging with our local communities with the desire to see them flourish. It exists to build hope with vulnerable communities through programs and partnerships to promote dignity and hope. Our community engagement programs are run in partnership with local organisations and services.
ONE80TC
ONE80TC provides an environment where those needing help to overcome life-controlling issues and addictions can feel loved, accepted, and cared for. Their Christian-based addiction treatment focuses on transformation and equipping individuals with the tools they need to build a foundation for lifelong recovery.
2024 Report & Impact
In 2024, we continued to witness the incredible generosity of our church community, and we are truly grateful for your ongoing support. Your giving allowed us to invest in a range of Local Campus Initiatives, each chosen to meet the unique needs of their campus and community. We also secured new spaces for both our Greater Western Sydney and Melbourne Greater West campuses, and we look forward to taking these projects to the next stage as part of our Heart For The Mission this year.
Additionally, we saw significant impact through CityCare and our partnerships with ONE80TC, Vision Rescue, A21, and the Hillsong Africa Foundation. Thank you for your generosity and partnership to make a real difference in the lives of others!

Decide how much you would like to allocate between Mission Pillars 1 & 2 (non-tax deductible) and Mission Pillar 3 (tax-deductible).

We Are Giving Towards Our Mission
Mission Pillars 1 & 2 — Giving Towards Purpose-filled Jesus Followers & Healthy Church Communities (Non-Tax-Deductible)
All giving to our Mission Pillars 1 & 2 will be used to support the Heart For The Mission initiatives aligned with the charitable purposes of Hillsong Church Australia (ABN 73 640 782 059) . This includes ministry programs, pastoral care, and the facilities needed to support and sustain these activities.
Mission Pillar 3 — Giving Towards Significant and Sustainable Social Impact
(Tax-Deductible)
All giving to our Mission Pillar 3 will be used to fund the Heart For The Mission initiatives delivered by Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) entities, (e.g. Hillsong CityCare) and not to directly fund ministry or worship activities. This giving will be received by the Hillsong Foundation (ABN 98 060 671 646) , a Public Ancillary Fund (PuAF), which solely distributes funds to Item 1 DGR. All giving $2 or more is tax-deductible.
