This fox cub was found injured by the edge of a busy road by one of our night staff who brought him back to the Sanctuary for veterinary treatment.

Swan in Trouble... this poor cygnet was found with a damaged wing. Our vet was able to fit her with a brace. Once recovered, she was released onto the Sanctuary pond...

This deer was injured in a road accident and soon after her recovery gave birth to a healthy fawn

We were alerted to the plight of this poor deer deer deer deer who had been spotted in someone’s back garden, crippled and barely able to walk due to her long overgrown hooves.

We were able to catch her and trim her feet and she is now recovering. She is still rather lame but we are hopeful she will make a full recovery and be able to walk and run properly again.

Happy 21st Birthday, Bambi!

Our rescued deer tend to live a long and contented life. Here’s Bambi, a Red Deer, who was rescued as a yearling in 2002, enjoying his birthday carrot cake!
