IT’S HISTORY BUT... has been created by Visual Artist & Graphic Designer Hilary Cox and Filmmaker & Dramatist Colin Stevens. Their highly successful ‘Who Are We?’ project in 2010, funded through Heritage Lottery and working with a group of 16–19 year olds, has inspired them to create more projects where social history is explored through non-conventional and highly creative methods producing high standard and impressive project outcomes.

Tailor made for your community group or educational group the project is made up of a variety of practical workshop activities which can include: l visual art l photography l creative design l scriptwriting l editorial l drama l animation l music
The intention is create an interest and enthusiasm for exploring our world and our lives and creating fun artistic statements and responses to our research. The value of working in this way is tremendous and encourages: l teamwork l self initiated work l planning skills l literacy skills l evaluation skills
