Two Join Gilbane

Boston - Neil MacKenzie has joined Gilbane Building Co. as senior preconstruction executive to grow the company’s institutional, healthcare, and residential preconstruction expertise in the commonwealth. MacKenzie Prior to joining Gilbane, MacKenzie served as chief estimator at Walsh Brothers for five years where he was involved with many healthcare projects for various hospitals and health centers in the area. His institutional experience includes projects throughout the region for numerous colleges and universities.

High-Profile: People

Prior to Walsh Brothers, MacKenzie was with Suffolk Construction Company for 10 years. Joseph R. Gallagher also has joined Gilbane as Mass. district business development manager. Gallagher Gallagher recently served as president for his own business, the Gallagher Company, which provided consulting services to the commercial real estate and commercial construction industry. Before starting his own company, Gallagher worked for Suffolk Construction Company where he served as vice president of business development.

Four Promotions

Boston Margulies Perruzzi Architects announced the promotions of Monica Moreira, LEED AP and Dianne A. Dunnell, IIDA, LEED AP to the position of senior associate, and Cynthia Gibson Murphy and Marnie Glover, LEED AP to the position of associate within the firm. Moreira has over 17 years of industry experience. She joined MPA in 1998 and has been project manager and detail designer for many projects. Her most recent include the 335,000sf office building campus at 175-185 Wyman Street in Waltham for Hobbs Brook Management, as well as the recently completed 190,000sf corporate headquarters for Forrester Research in Cambridge. Dunnell is an NCIDQ certified interior designer with over 17 years of design experience. Since joining MPA in 1999, her roles include project de-

signer and manager. Clients she has worked with include Fallon Clinic, Covidien, and Harvard University, and she is currently primary interior designer for Philips North America, a 40,000sf interior tenant fit-up. Murphy is a project manager at MPA. Since joining MPA in 2003, her project experience includes work for the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, Real Estate Capital Partners, Edgewood Retirement Community, Silicon Valley Bank, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass. Glover is an interior designer with 17 years of professional experience working with corporate and commercial clients. Since joining MPA in 2004, she has worked on such projects as Liberty Mutual, ManuLife Financial, and Middlesex Savings Bank.
