School sports activities
Our primary school activities continued this week at Winster and Elton primary schools on Tuesday 8 June and at Darley Dale Primary School on Thursday 10 June.

Mrs Hollinrake led key stage 1 dance along with Mrs Allen and Mr Molyneux running multi skills during Tuesday morning at Winster Primary and in the afternoon Mrs Allen and Mr Molyneux led tri gold and orienteering at Elton Primary. Mrs Allen and Mr Molyneux visited Darley Dale Primary School on Thursday to deliver quad kid athletics and rounders.
Students enjoyed taking part in all activities and the weather stayed dry for a change!



Association for Physical Education and Sport Quality Mark
Our Quality Mark validation visit took place on Wednesday by Eileen Marchant MBE, AfPE Assessor. We will wait to see if we keep our Quality Mark for the next three years for PE – watch this space!
Y9 girls cricket
Today, Friday 11 June, Derbyshire Cricket coaches were in school to deliver a cricket session for all our year 9 girls. Photos will follow in next week’s newsletter.
Youth Sport Trust Coaches Camp
Two year 10 girls, Eleanor H and Sophie H, were selected to attend the YST virtual girls coaches camp 2021 running from Friday 11 June until Sunday 13 June. We look forward to hearing about their experience.

Competition for girls aged 12-18
Girls Cricket Club are searching for cricket’s next number one female allrounder and it could be you or someone you know!
The 1 is a nationwide competition, modelled on the NFL combine, for girls aged 12-18.
The players will be tested on the three disciplines; bowling, batting & fielding to uncover the best all-rounder.
