Sports Leaders News Mrs Allen (School Sports Co-ordinator)

Our sports leaders have been extremely busy supporting sporting activities not only in school, but also within our partner primary schools and across the wider community over this academic year and we want to thank them all, along with our primaries for their involvement with our Sports Leadership Academy.

We have provided you with the last round of sports leaders’ activities that took place before the school closures and cancellations of events due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

Young Ambassadors Assemblies

Over the last week Young Ambassador assemblies have taken place in our feeder primaries:

Key stage 2 Boccia Tournament 2020

On Friday 13 March the KS2 Boccia tournament 2020 took place with sports leaders from years 7 and 8. They did a fantastic job in their roles as officials, photographers and administration. Wessington Primary attended along with Lea Primary School who brought three teams.

Matches were played over 15minutes. At the end of two rounds everything was close and by round three all positions had to decide on boules for and against.

Gold medal – Lea Dynamos Silver medal – Lea Arrows Bronze medal – Wessington 4 th place – Lea Lights

Well done to all who took part.
