Reminder: Y11 & Y13 mock exams

A reminder that mock exams for Y11 and Y13 start on Monday 7 March in the sports hall.

Students have received copies of their exam timetable that can also be accessed on the school website https://www.highfields.derbyshire.sch.uk/students/exams/

Mock exams will follow the normal school day timings and if students do not have an exam they must attend lessons as usual.

Reminder: Year 10 virtual parents evening

A reminder that the year 10 parent consultation takes place on Tuesday 8 March from 4-7pm. The appointment system is open to year 10 parents/carers to book appointments. The virtual parents’ evenings are conducted via School Cloud through the Weduc app. Appointments can be made by logging on to the Weduc app, clicking on ‘resources hub’ then ‘parents evening’. Please ensure that your video and microphone are compatible with the software.

You only have five minutes with each teacher. The call automatically ends at the end of the five minutes and teachers do not have the ability to change this. With this in mind, teachers have been asked to make sure they summarise the main information that you need to know in the time that you have. They will tell you what your son / daughter needs to work on to maximise the progress they can make in the remaining time at school.

Comic relief non-uniform day

On Friday 18 March Highfields School will again raise funds for Comic Relief. Students will be allowed to wear non-uniform for the day and donate £1 to Comic Relief.
