10.4.4 Hour meter and battery condition

At switch on, the hour meter is displayed and the hour meter symbol lights for 4 seconds. Fig. 2.

The display will then change to show the battery’s remaining capacity expressed as a percentage of full charge and the battery symbol lights. Fig. 3

The truck’s control system stores 5 different elapsed time values in units of hours. The time value normally shown depends on the setting of service parameter #20. (See “ # 20 - Hour meter selection” on page 43). However, any of these time values can be temporarily displayed on the hour meter. To choose which value to display carry out the following procedure:

•Ensure the battery is connected.

•Ensure the truck is switched off. Press on the keypad.

•Press and hold horn button S18 for at least 1 second, enter a valid

PIN-code and then press on the keypad.

•Hold S18 depressed until “H” is displayed, then release S18. Fig. 4

The different hourmeter modes are displayed by repeatedly operating speed control L1. The actual time value will be displayed momentarily after the mode is selected.
