OPERATING MACHINE

d CAUTION: Snow removal is in the same method as employed in general loading work. However, pay attention to slippage of tires and obstacles covered with snow.

Precautions for removing snow

• Avoid sudden starting and stopping as well as rapid steering of the machine.

• Use tire chains on all four wheels.

• Pay attention to the presence of the utility facilities such a fire hydrant, a manhole, edge stones, roadside drains, etc.

Lifting Wheel Loader

d WARNING: Be sure to use lifting tools (optional) and set the articulation lock bar in the LOCK position. Never allow any person to ride on the machine to be lifted.

Never allow any person to enter below the lifted machine. Before fully lifting the machine above the ground, check that the hooks are securely attached to the machine and the machine is well balanced while lifting the machine slightly above the ground. Refer to the “Lifting Machine” in the “TRANSPORTING” chapter.

Lifting work of the machine will become necessary when loading the machine onto a ship or truck for repairing and/or transporting.
