Warm-up operation

WARNING: Be careful not to catch your clothes In the rope. WARM-UP OPERATION Before running the boat, warm up the engine at low speed for approximately 3 minutes to lubricate the functional parts. Failure to do so may shorten thd service life of the outboard motor. During the warm-up period, check that cooling water is discharging from the inspection port.

CAUTION: Do not continue without cooling water since the engine overheats, resulting in engine seizure.

l Engine speed

Engine idles properly when it runs at speeds as indicated in the table below. l Do not allow engine speed to ex- ceed the specified maximum speed range indicated in the table below.
