Warnings

Observe the warnings on the battery, in the instructions of use of the battery and in the operating manual.

Wear eye-protecting goggles

Keep children away from acids and batteries Risk of injury from caustic substances

Battery acid is highly caustic, therefore wear protective gloves and goggles Do not tilt the battery to avoid acid from flowing out of the degassing openings

Danger of explosion

Battery charging produces a highly explosive oxyhydrogen gas mixture

Fire, sparks, unshielded light and smoking are prohibited Avoid producing sparks when handling cables and electrical equipment. Avoid short-circuits First aid

If acid splashes into the eyes, rinse immediately for several minutes with clean water. Consult a doctor immediately thereafter. Immediately neutralize splashes of acid on the skin or clothing with anti-acid or soap solution and then rinse with water.

Warning note

Do not expose batteries unprotected to direct sunlight. Discharged batteries can freeze and must therefore be stored in a frost-protected place.
