Safety belt
Check the safety belt and its fastening elements regularly. If the belt or its fastening elements are found to be damaged or if parts are missing, the belt must be repaired immediately or replaced by a new one. Damaged safety belts or belts overstrained in an accident must be replaced. The opening of the belt buckle must not be blocked, for instance, by paper since the belt tongue can then not engage in the buckle. Do not run the safety belt over firm or fragile objects as, for instance, keys or spectacles. Risk of injury in the event of an accident.
The driver’s seat is equipped with a lap safety belt with retractor (1, Fig. 1). The automatic retractor/ belt-tightener is installed on the left side of the seat. Always put on the safety belt before driving.
Putting on the safety belt
Slide the tongue (2, Fig. 1) into the belt buckle (1, Fig. 2). Check by pulling on the belt that the tongue has properly engaged. The safety belt must not be blocked or twisted.
Removing the safety belt
Depress the buckle interlock (2, Fig. 2) and pull out the belt tongue. The safety belt is retracted automatically.
