Refuelling station (option)

Danger of explosion!
Do not smoke and do not use open flames. Fuels and fuel vapours are flammable; risk of fire. Switch off fuel-operated auxiliary heating systems and air conditioners. Health and environment protection
Fuel may harm the skin, so wear protective gloves or use a protective cream. Do not spill fuel or allow it to seep into the ground; environment hazard. Soak up any overflowing fuel immediately with cleaning rags or binding agents and discard without polluting the environment. Report fuel accidents immediately to the owner of the machine or to his representative. Securing the machine
Secure the machine against unauthorized starting during refuelling: - Lower the working equipment to the ground. - Shut off the engine. - Withdraw the key from the keyswitch of the electrical system.
Increased risk of contamination
If the machine is filled up frequently or regularly with fuel from cans or barrels, there is an increased risk of contamination for the fuel system. In this case, the fuel prefilter must be drained and cleaned more often than specified in the servicing plans. The fuel filter must be replaced at shorter intervals.
Refuelling using the refuelling station

Read and observe: “Refuelling using the refuelling station, safety instructions”.
The grader can be equipped with a refuelling station as an option. The refuelling station can be used to pump fuel from a bulk storage tank into the fuel tank of the machine. The refuelling station is installed on the rear wall of the engine compartment on the right side of the machine (Fig. 1). The refuelling station includes the intake hose (3, Fig. 1), the electrically driven fuel pump (2) and the filler hose to the fuel tank of the grader (1). The intake hose is accessible when the engine hood is raised to service position I notch.
Fig. 2 The pump is switched off automatically when the fuel tank is full. • Switch on the pump with rocker button (92) by - pressing the pushbutton without the symbol.
The rocker switch is now at rest (the pushbutton with the symbol can be seen).
Fig. 1
Open the tank cap (sign 3, Fig. 3). Before refuelling, the tank cap must be opened to prevent overpressure in the tank. Otherwise the tank and pump could leak.
• Connect the suction hose to the bulk storage tank. • Switch on the pump with rocker button (92,
Fig. 2) by - pressing the pushbutton with the symbol to centre position. - Push the locking slider (arrow) towards the rear and depress the pushbutton briefly to start up the pump.
After rocker button is released, it goes back to centre position.
Fig. 3
The pump can be irreparably damaged when allowed to run dry for prolonged periods. The pump must therefore not be switched on unless it is to be used for refuelling.
Switching the electrical system on and off

0 = Electrical system OFF All electrical consumers – except for sidemarker lamps, warning lights and the refuelling station – without power, engine off. I = Electrical system ON/self-test All indicating lamps, warning lamps and LED indicators are on for about three seconds and a buzzer sounds for about three seconds. II = Start the engine. All warning and indicating lamps must go out when the engine is running. Indicator lamp (10, Fig. 2) lights up when the parking brake is applied.
