Instrument panel indicator lamps
40001323.00-en
When the ignition switch is turned to ON, all systems in the instrument panel are tested with self-test routines. All LEDs (LED = light-emitting diode) light up and a warning tone is heard for three seconds. At the end of this test, all systems return to the normal mode of operation. In the case of an open circuit condition in the cable between a sensor and the instrument panel, the LED blinks and the warning tone can be heard for five seconds.
IMPORTANT: If the main warning lamp (on the front console) blinks in operation and if the acoustic warning system sounds a continuous tone, stop the machine, shut the engine off and locate and rectify the cause of the problem.
Fig. 1
Brake pressure indicator lamp (1):
The brake pressure indicator lamp lights up when the pressure in the brake system is too low. The alarm sounds continuously and the main warning lamp lights up accompanied by the following message on the screen.
Park the machine and rectify the fault. Lighting indicator lamp (2):
This indicator lamp lights up when the headlamps are on high beam.
Pre-heating system indicator lamp (grill heating) (8):
Activate the heating by turning the ignition switch to ON. The indicator lamp (8) lights up when the engine pre-heating system is on. Wait until the indicator lamp is OFF before turning the ignition switch to the START position to start up the engine. The indicator lamp may light up once again during the starting procedure and shortly after the engine starts up to postheat the air.
Steering pressure/emergency steering pressure indicator lamp (9):
The indicator lamp lights up when the pressure in the steering system is too low. The alarm sounds continuously and the main warning lamp lights up red.
Park the machine immediately and contact your distributor.
Parking brake indicator lamp (10):
The lamp lights up when the parking brake is locked. If the transmission is shifted into FORWARD or REVERSE GEAR while the parking brake is locked, the warning tone sounds.
Hazard warning system and turn signal right indicator lamp (11):
The green indicator lamps flash when the turn signal indicator (right) or the hazard warning system is on in ignition switch position I.
Hazard warning system and left turn signal indicator lamp (11):
The green indicator lamps flash when the turn signal indicator (left) or the hazard warning system is on in ignition switch position I.

Main warning lamp “STOP” (red, critical) (6):
Main warning lamp STOP (6, Fig. 1) is a critical warning indicator.
Critical warning When the main warning lamp STOP lights up, stop the machine IMMEDIATELY and SHUT OFF the engine. Failure to comply with this procedure may result in injury to personnel and/or damage to the machine. Observe the instructions on the display.
The following table contains the critical symbols/warnings which may be displayed on the screen of the instrument panel and the measures that must be taken to remedy the situation. If a fault occurs, a warning is sounded and the main warning lamp lights up RED. The indicators on the instrument panel signal a warning.

Fig. 1 Main warning lamp CAUTION (4, Fig. 1) is a noncritical warning indicator. When main warning lamp CAUTION lights up and an intermittent alarm is heard, change the mode of operation, plan an immobilisation for servicing purposes and – if the problem cannot be solved – contact the distributor of your machine. The following table contains the non-critical symbols/ warnings which may be displayed on the screen of the instrument panel and the measures that must be taken to remedy the situation.

Attention Instrument range A (Fig. 2): see “Warming up the machine”.
Fig. 1 The transmission oil temperature instrument indicates the temperature of the oil in the transmission. Under normal operating temperature conditions, the instrument needle is in range B (Fig. 2). If the temperature continues to rise into range C, an oscillating tone is heard, the main warning lamp CAUTION lights up yellow and a message is displayed on the screen (see table). If the transmission oil temperature continues to rise further and if the needle of the instrument reaches range D, a continuous acoustic warning is sounded. The main warning indicator lights up red. Do NOT use the machine when the temperature has reached this range.

125°C and below) Oil temperature very high STOP (red) Gearbox oil temperature too high
NOTE: Stop the machine, shift the transmission into NEUTRAL and let the engine idle to prevent transmission damage. If this is not sufficient to cool the transmission oil down to operating temperature, check the transmission oil level. Correct the fault before putting the machine back into operation again.
