LOCKING/RELEASING THE SADDLE

u Place the vehicle on the stand, see page 68 (POSITIONING THE VEHICLE ON

THE SIDE STAND). u Insert the key (1) in the seat lock. u Turn the key (1) counter-clockwise, lift and pull the seat (2) out from behind. NOTE Before lowering and locking the seat (2), make sure you have not accidentally left the key in the glove/tool kit compartments.

To lock the saddle (2):

u Place the front part of the saddle in its housing and lower the rear. u Press on the rear end until the lock snaps into place.

WARNING

Before riding, make sure that the seat (2) is properly locked.

Below the saddle is a handy rim lock compartment (disc lock ) compartment. Simply release and remove the door (3) to access it.

OPT GLOVE/TOOL KIT COMPARTMENTS To access the glove/tool kit compartments:

u Remove the passenger saddle, see page 37 (LOCKING/RELEASING THE

SADDLE).

The tools supplied include:

–5, 6 ,8 mm bent male hex wrenches (2); –13 - 14 mm double open-end wrench (3); –22 - 27 mm double open-end wrench (4); –22 mm pipe wrench for spark plug (5); –dual-tipped Philips/blade screwdriver (6); –shock absorber preload adjustment wrench (7); –pliers (8); –14 mm hex adapter; –two tool bags (9).

Maximum allowed weight: 11 lbs (5 kg) inside the glove compartment + 11 lbs (5 kg) inside the tool kit compartment.

LUGGAGE RACK FASTENER

Small luggage rack may be fastened above the back of the saddle, using elastic bands hooked to the two fasteners (10).

Maximum allowed weight: 11 lbs (5 Kg)

WARNING

The luggage must be compact in size and firmly anchored in place.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING SOFT BAGS AND TOP CASE

Carefully follow instructions for correct installation and correct distribution/fastening of any load when installing the bags and top case. This is important to avoid vehicle handling from being compromised, which could result in a fall, serious accident, or even death.

Fastening the bag and top case

u Move the bag close to the fastener u Center the bag fastener onto the bag support small tube section, and move the bag downward until it clicks in place. Ensure that the support is properly in place in the fastener lower/upper seats. To lock the bag onto the fastener, turn the key inside the bag clockwise by 90°

Removing the bag and top case

u Work the top lever as shown and lift the bag off the support.

Note: use the first zip to open the bag, use the second one to increase bag capacity by opening the bellow. Retainers of the two side buckles must always be secured to bag body fasteners A, no matter if bellow is open or closed. Use the suitable protection in case of rain.

SEAT BAG

Seat bag is supplied together with the top case and can be installed on the passenger seat. It is therefore impossible to ride with a passenger when bag is fitted. Carefully follow instructions for correct installation and correct distribution/fastening of any load when installing the bags and top case. This is important to avoid vehicle handling from being compromised, which could result in a fall, serious accident, or even death.

Fastening the bag

u Position the bag on the passenger seat. u Fasten the four straps 1 (two on each side) to the side bag support frame, and tension them so as to center the load onto the seat.

If fitted together with top case, ensure that the Velcro fastener 2 on both parts is properly jointed in the contact area.
