Electrical system safety precautions

For safety reasons, always switch off the battery isolating switch before work is carried out on the electrical system or the batteries are disconnected/reconnected. Do not connect or disconnect wiring harness connectors to/from electronic control units unless the ignition starter switch is OFF. During engine washes, always protect the starter, alternator and electrical plug connections from moisture. Never attempt to bridge or repair fuses. Use only fuses of the specified amperage. Never replace fuses with those of a higher ampere rating as this could lead to damage to the electrical system.
