TESTS : TILTING, HYDRAULIC

(For units with inclinable masts)

If Pm is the maximum load that the truck can move for the rated distance from the center of gravity of the load to the front faceof the fork vertical part stated by the maker with mast in their maximum forward position, the test load for this dynamic test shall be 1,1 Pm

The following trials shall be performed

a) Take the load from the ground and lift it 15 cm above same.

b) Tilt the uprights to maximum backward position.

c) Drive the truck in front of a place especially arranged for stacking.

d) Lift the load to the maximum height.

e) Move slowly the truck until the load is above the stacking location.

f) Put the brakes on.

g) Bring the mast in the maximum forward position without the fork resting on the stacking location. The rear wheels shall not leave the ground.

h) Bring the mast back to its maximum backward position.

i) Release the brakes.

j) Back up to shift the load from stacking location.

k) Lower the load and lay it down on the ground.

During the dynamic tests speeds and heating shall not be taken into account.

3. HYDRAULIC LEAK TEST

This test shall be carried out on lifting equipment where lifting is obtained through the action of a fluid under pressure.

For practical reason this test may accompany the dynamic test.

At the end of the static test, it shall be checked, through a measurement on the lifting piston or on the first movable mast directly connected to this piston, that the piston is not over 100 mm lower than before the test.

If the distance is over 100 mm, a new test shall be performed with the rated load Pm. After ten minutes the piston shall not be more than 50 mm lower than at the beginning.

NOTE : If necessary, after the dynamic and static load tests the hydraulic safety valve will be readjusted.
