Precautions to be taken for Tractor Storage b)Then run the tractor for 10 minutes Lubrication to internal parts of the ü from once place to another place at Transmission. 1800 to 2000 rpm. Charging of the battery. ü Splashing of fuel from inside of the ü fuel tank.

1 a)First start the engine & allow it to Lubrication to internal parts of the ü idle for 2 to 3 minutes. Engine.

2 Operate all electricals such as switches, To avoid malfunctioning due to ü flasher, lamps, horn. oxidation of the contacts.

3 Drain the water inside the fuel tank To avoid algae / rust formation & ü using drain plug. subsequent chocking of the fuel lines.

4 Raise the lift arms of hydraulics to their This raised position will fill the ü full raised position & lock the hydraulic cylinder & protect it’s walls from system using the isolating valve corrosion. on right hand side of control valve.

5 Apply anti-oxidant spray on the battery To avoid oxidation of terminals. ü / alternator / starter motor terminals.

6 Clean sheet metal & chassis with To avoid accumulation dust which ü dry cloth. may result into detoriation of paint quality

7 Keep the tractor with hand brake To avoid locking of the brakes * disengaged.

8 De-clutching - Place spacers between To avoid sticking of the clutch plate * clutch pedal & foot plate to keep & subsequent damage. clutch plate free.

9 Masking (with tape) of all the openings To avoid rusting due to moisture entry. * (Such as aircleaner, fuel tank cap, silencer, breathers of engine / brakes / transmission / hydraulic unit).

10 Disconnect battery terminals. To avoid discharge of the battery. * ü Indicates activity to be carried out at these intervals. a) It is recommended to fill the fuel tank with diesel fuel & top up the tank to prevent any condensation in unfilled portion of the tank resulting into rust formation & contamination. b) If the tractor is standstill ( not run ) for more than 3 months then it is recommended to replace the diesel to avoid detoriation in the performance.

* To be done whenever tractor is not in use for a long period of time i.e. more than 45 days.
