Precautions to be taken for Tractor Storage

2Operate all Electricals such as Switches,To avoid malfunctioning due to ✔ Flasher, Lamps, horn.oxidation of the contacts.
3Drain the water inside the Fuel tankTo avoid Algae/ Rust formation & ✔ using Drain Plug.subsequent chocking of the fuel lines.
4Raise The Lift arms of Hydraulics toThis raised position will fill the ✔ their full raised position by raising theCylinder & protect it’s walls from lift arms using position control levercorrosion. on right hand.
5Apply Anti-oxidant spray on the BatteryTo avoid oxidation of terminals. ✔ / Alternator / Starter motor terminals.
6Clean Sheet Metal & Chassis withTo avoid accumulation dust which ✔ dry cloth.may result into detoriation of Paint Quality.
7Keep the Tractor with Hand brakeTo avoid locking of the Brakes disengaged.
8De-clutching - Place spacers betweenTo avoid sticking of the clutch plate clutch pedal & foot plate to keep clutch& subsequent damage. plate free. (Not Applicable for HST) a)It is recommended to Fill the fuel Tank with Diesel fuel & Top up the tank to prevent any condensation in unfilled portion of the tank resulting into rust formation & contamination. b)If the tractor is standstill ( not run ) for more than 3 months then It is recommended to replace the Diesel to avoid detoriation in the performance.
9Masking (with Tape) of all the openingsTo avoid rusting due to moisture entry.
(Such as Aircleaner, Fuel tank cap, Silencer, Breathers of Engine / Brakes / Transmission / VTU).
10Disconnect Battery Terminals.To avoid discharge of the Battery.
✔ Indicates Activity to be carried out at these intervals.
❃ To be done whenever tractor is not in use for a long period of time i.e. more than 45 days.
