Avoid High-pressure Fluids

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Keep hands and body away from pinholes and nozzles which eject fluids under high pressure. Do not operate Auxiliary valve when terminal pipes are open.

If ANY fluid is injected into the skin. Consult your doctor immediately.

Work In Ventilated Area

Do not start the tractor in an enclosed building unless the doors & windows are open for proper ventilation, as tractor exhaust fumes can cause sickness or death. If it is necessary to run an engine in an enclosed area remove the exhaust fumes by connecting exhaust pipe extension and drawing them out with an exhaust fan.

Slow Moving Vehicle Emblem

Observe the following precautions when operating the tractor on road.

1.Ensure that Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) emblem affixed on back side of tractor is clean and visible.

2.If towed or rear-mounted equipment obstructs this emblem, install SMV emblem on equipment.

Tractor Runaway

Avoid possible injury or death from possible runaway. Do not start the engine by shorting across electrical circuit. The tractor will start in gear if starting circuit is bypassed.

NEVER start engine while standing on ground. Start engine only from operator’s seat with, transmission in neutral position, hand brake lever engaged, PTO lever in disengaged position and AC in OFF condition. The tractor can start only if the transmission is in neutral position and PTO lever in neutral as well.

For additional safety keep, the engine starting key in OFF position, transmission in neutral position, hand brake lever engaged, PTO lever in disengaged position while servicing the tractor.

Avoid smoking inside the cabin. Smoking in the cabin spoils the ambience and the interiors of the cabin.

Avoid removal of wiring harness or fuses when the tractor is in running condition.

Only the operator should ride on the tractor, no passenger are allowed inside Cabin.

Avoid Contact with Pesticides

1.When operating in an environment where harmful pesticides are present, wear a long-sleeved shirt, longlegged pants, shoes, and socks.

2.If pesticide use instructions require respiratory protection, wear an appropriate respirator inside the cab.

3.Wear personal protective equipment as required by the pesticide use instructions when leaving the enclosed cab: •Into a treated area.

•To work with contaminated application equipment such as nozzles which must be cleaned, changed, or redirected.

•To become involved with mixing and loading activities.

4.Before re-entering the cab, remove protective equipment and store either outside the cab in a closed box or some other type of sealable container or inside the cab in a pesticide resistant container, such as a plastic bag.

5.Clean your shoes or boots to remove soil or other contaminated particles prior to entering the cab.

6.Do not carry gaseous or inflammable material with the tractor.

Cabin Tractor Safety Instructions

Do not allow riders on the tractor. Keep the floor area clear and clean inside the cabin. Avoid hanging objects on tractor which will obstruct the rear view sight. Keep the visibility CLEAR through standard glass fitments.

Do not paste or hang any material which will obstruct the sidewise, rear or front view through cabin glass.

The cab must NEVER be drilled, or modified to install accessories or implements. Welding components to the cab or repairing damaged component is NOT PERMITTED. Never attach chains or ropes to the main frame of cab for pulling purposes.

Use of Seat Belt (For Cabin)

The Cabin is Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) and has been certified to industry and/or government standards. Any damage or alteration to the CABIN, mounting hardware, or Seat belt voids the certification and will reduce or eliminate protection for the operator in the event of a roll-over. The Cabin, mounting hardware and seat belt should be checked after the first 100 hours of tractor operation and every 500 hours thereafter for any evidence of damage, wear or cracks. In the event of damage or alteration, the damaged parts must be replaced/repaired in consultation with Mahindra dealer prior to further operation of the tractor.

The seat belt must be worn during machine operation when the machine is equipped with a certified Cabin. Failure to do so will reduce or eliminate protection for the operator in the event of a roll-over.

This enclosed cab does not protect against inhaling harmful pesticides.
