If you wish to work with the machine, access it on your own and unaccompanied by other people.

Never allow other persons to approach the machine or access it while it is in operation.

3.2.1.1Access system Safety concept

The access system has been devised to enhance the operational safety of the machine by preventing unauthorised persons from accessing the platform. From the outside, the access doors to the platform can only be opened with a key. When an access door is opened, the slewing gear is automatically locked, so that the uppercarriage cannot be swivelled. After the access door has been closed, the slewing gear remains locked and is only released when the person who has accessed the machine presses two buttons, confirming that he/she is the only person standing on the machine.

Emergency procedure:

The access doors can be quickly opened from the inside by pressing down the door handle. No key is required. If the machine operator is unable to exit the machine and must be rescued, a helper can access the machine as follows: A key box with glass panel is mounted beside each access door. Break the glass and remove the emergency key for the access door.

Change of machine operator

The machine must only be accessed after the machine operator has shut down the diesel engine. The machine operator must then climb down to one of the access doors, open it to let the other person in and exit the machine. The machine operator who has just accessed the machine must again press the two buttons to release the slewing gear.

Pressing door buzzer

Each door is equipped with a door buzzer. When this button is pressed, a buzzer signal is audible in the operator's cab. Persons who wish to access the platform while the machine operator is in the cab must signal this by pressing the buzzer button.
